PSN exclusive Journey dated

thatgamecompany's latest arriving in March

Journey, the latest title from Flower and Flow developer thatgamecompany, will be available in the West next month.

Originally set for release last year, the PSN game will hit the US on March 13 and Europe a day later. It'll cost $14.99 in the States (UK pricing has yet to be announced).

Here's how thatgamecompany co-founder Jenova Chen describes the title:

Journey is an interactive parable, an anonymous online adventure to experience a person's life passage and their intersections with other's.

You wake alone and surrounded by miles of burning, sprawling desert, and soon discover the looming mountaintop which is your goal. Faced with rolling sand dunes, age-old ruins, caves and howling winds, your passage will not be an easy one.

The goal is to get to the mountaintop, but the experience along the way is discovering who you are, what this place is, and what your purpose is. Travel and explore this ancient, mysterious world alone, or with a stranger you meet along the way. Soar above ruins and glide across sands as you discover the secrets of a forgotten civilization. Featuring stunning visuals, haunting music, and unique online gameplay, Journey delivers an experience like no other.

thatgamecompany's Contract with Sony's Up; "Exploring Bigger Audience".

The critically acclaimed flOw, Flower and Journey are all currently exclusive to PlayStation platforms, products of the developer's three game deal with Sony.

"Right now we are very much exploring ways to bring our games to a bigger audience, beyond just PlayStation," Journey developer Jenova Chen told Push Square.

"We are still in the process of negotiating, but I hope that we can announce it [soon]. But right now it's still in the process."

I'lll take the Eurogamer review with a large dose of salt. Anything esoteric usually gets them salivating like rabid dogs.

But the general impressions are fantastic. This is a game I'd buy just for the art style.

Finished playing the game...and it's absolutely :majesty: :majesty:

The game looks so beautiful in each frame and the music is absolute bliss.

Playing with other players feels never felt better. Game has some surprising elements too.

It's everything and more that's mentioned in the gamespot review.

Only complaint: it's too small..can be finished in ~1hour if played without any exploration. Still it's worth the money and one of the best games ever.

Off to my second playthrough now... :good:
