My first thought was Luke had probably killed himself or something and it was his force ghost that had showed up. I mean he looked visibly younger and he literally showed up out of nowhere in a cave which supposedly had only one entry/exit. Even Poe was like, "How the hell did he get in here?"

Speaking of which, I loved how some scenes had dialogues which actually spelled out what I was thinking. One was of course that Poe dialogue and the other one off the top of my head was when Kylo (wearing his helmet) was speaking to Snoke somewhere around the beginning of the movie . Kylo's voice sounded oddly ridiculous to me through that helmet and the very next moment Snoke says something along the lines of "Take that ridiculous thing off!"

Yeah I don't know why Kylo wears a helmet. I mean Vader did it because he's an elderly gentleman on a life support, Kylo's comes off as those comic-con guys trying to mimic Vader.

I'm just disappointed that

Luke didn't had one last badass duel, but even then the closure to his arc was perfect and I also remembered that he also mocked the idea of a duel very early in :D

The whole deconstruction of all the in universe lore and force misconceptions ala Kotor 2 was nice. Never imagined it would be Luke saying all that stuff so hats off to Rian to actually go through in that direction with him. Luke's moment with Yoda was also very adorable.

All the scenes involving the bonding of Kylo and Rey were brilliant. Kylo was so goddamn good from start to finish and that fight in throne room.

Biggest disappointment was Snoke

His character basically turned out to be "look at mah evilness and force powaz and unnecessary evil laughs after each sentence". Extremely cheap copy of Palpatine and died like a biatch.

I am pretty sure Disney meddled with the film to some extent, the stupid Rose-Finn portion and some of them forced comedy, irked of perennial DISNEY garbage.

> The worst part about the film was coffee mugs, coffee thermos, earth based wiring and concepts(specially in the hacking scenes) and the casino was too earthly!! It bought the galaxy closer to earth than Lucas ever meant it to be.

> The crux of the film and the main characters including Poe were handled brilliantly!!

> The most badass scenes of the film went to BB-8!!

> Adam Driver!! Kylo Ren!!! Terrific!!

> I hated the wink and shrugging dust off his shoulder scenes. WTF??? Rajnikanth scenes in Star Wars film?? Substandard, out of character scenes.

The Last Jedi was an excellent film, it had flaws sure, nothing is perfect but there were so many surprises that kept me to the edge of my seat the whole time. One dialogue from Master Luke himself that defines the whole film is "This is not going to go the way you think." It didn't try to provide fan service and solved almost all the plot holes of TFA. I loved the Luke's arc. It was the best way to send him off and pass the torch to the new heroes. I also like the grounded light saber duels that this new trilogy is going for, the flips and jumps were too much. :saberfite:

Spoiler

The Force was similar to the Ki in Dragon Ball Z, they were sensing each other and Luke basically removed himself from the force like in DBZ they hide their true Ki and that scene where everyone shoots Luke and he emerges from the rubble unharmed was similar to those of DBZ. I loved Yoda, he was not fully CGI, they used a puppet like the old times. That shot of Tatooine's sunset in the end was brilliant. Bring back Luke's force ghost in future films. :D

Just got back from The Last Jedi. Have mixed feelings about the movie. Liked the Kylo-Rey arc. Liked Luke's story.

Spoiler

But the whole resistance plot was so full of blunders that you wonder if they deserve to survive. Especially Poe Dameron. First he got all those pilots killed in the beginning. Then his plan with Finn/Rose was such a disaster. Not only did it not succeed in allowing the big ship to escape at light speed, it gave away the backup escape plan (through the Del Toro character) and destroyed almost all of the resistance. Also, the Snoke arc was so unsatisfying. No answers to who he was. How did he seduce Kylo?

Poe Dameron is a really good example of what you can get away with if you are good looking. Like if this was a short, fat, neckbeard they would have jettisoned his a*s into space after the first f**k up.
