Slightly Mad Studios raises $660,000 through crowd-funding

Need For Speed: Shift developer Slightly Mad Studios has raised $660,000 for next project C.A.R.S. through its own crowd-funding platform.

The World Of Mass network allows players to donate anything from $5 to $100,000 towards the studio's projects with the developer offering stock ownership in the final game and a share of the profits.

"It's great to see our WMP portal performing well," says CEO Ian Bell. "It's nothing less than a revolutionary new approach to game development and funding. It allows developers to make the game they want to make, without undue publisher pressure."

Project CARS gets a 2013 release date

Some of you already knew about this but up to this moment, the official word was that Project CARS would be hitting PC in late 2012. Not anymore, as Slightly Mad Studios revealed – via the game’s FB page – that the game is currently slated for a March 2013 release.

Oh f**K

First Project CARS Xbox 720 Sneak Preview

Our development team has been very busy working on the console version of Project CARS recently and today, we`re proud to give you an exclusive little sneak preview.

Below are several previews of the next-gen console version, showing Project CARS running on a brand new platform.

Despite the early development stage that will still require some optimization (regarding aspects such as memory usage), the next-gen console version already looks almost as pretty as the PC version, running at smooth 60fps and featuring stunning looking details as you can check out yourself below.

Keep in mind that these exclusive previews show an early pre-alpha version of Project CARS, we`ve decided to release them as a little goodie for our members that patiently wait for the console version of Project CARS while PC users can already enjoy regular development builds.

Unfortunately those screens are all from replay or AI controlled mode. The actual game in motion doesnt look that good.

really? :scratchchin:

but they were saying that " there is no feature like gt5 photomode, what you see is what you get while playing"

btw wonder whether this game will support modding
