MarketTantrik
Create a shortcut to the game's executable and place it on your desktop. Right the shortcut and click on "Compatibility" Choose "Windows XP (with Service Pack 2)" from the drop down list. Double click the shortcut to launch the game in compatibility mode. Bulovski
are both laptop and ps3 getting similar IP settings? ie. 192.168.1.xxx Check that both laptop and ps3 are set to use automatic configuration. Or if you're using manual ensure that like above the first three sections of the IP are same.
strategy
yeah both laptop and ps3 are set at automatic configuration!! and tried manual also still does not help!!
Panthelon
^^ I hope you've enabled media servers on the PS3.
strategy
Yes of course as i said earlier i can use my laptop as a media server when i connect both with ethernt cable( to the router)..... ......its just that when i connect my Laptop via wi-fi that i can not!! just out of curiosity has any one connected done this ....i.e. connect two devices one of which is wired to the router(netgear) and another that is wirelessly connected .......i am getting a feeling the problem is netgear router!! Panthelon
Try disabling security completely for your network and then try. If you're facing issues only while on wi-fi then the differnce gotta be the encryption. Give it a try. Bulovski
My 360 is connected via ethernet and the laptop connected via wifi. Streaming works seamlessly. Try the good ole switch off - wait for 30 secs - switch on method. Switch off PC, then router, then modem. Then switch on in reverse order. strategy
^^.....i try it!! .....but how does modem come in to picture....i have already said i can use internet on both at the same time .....just cant stream between the two
Shantz
Yes of course as i said earlier i can use my laptop as a media server when i connect both with ethernt cable( to the router)...........its just that when i connect my Laptop via wi-fi that i can not!! just out of curiosity has any one connected done this ....i.e. connect two devices one of which is wired to the router(netgear) and another that is wirelessly connected .......i am getting a feeling the problem is netgear router!! Yup, if you are indeed getting both IPs in the same subnet, then your netgear router is the culprit. They have had many such issues in the past of problems between wired and wireless networks. Have you checked out negear website and forums for known issues/firmware updates/workarounds? BTW, have you tried pinging your PS3's IP address from your laptop? Does that work? And why are you using a wired connection for the PS3 anyways?
