Heaven Angel
Welcome to Wellington Wells! Put on your happy face, you saucy minx. We Happy Few is the tale of a plucky bunch of moderately terrible people trying to escape from a lifetime of cheerful denial. Set in a drug-fuelled, retrofuturistic city in an alternative 1960s England, you’ll have to blend in with its other inhabitants, who don’t take kindly to people who don’t abide by their not-so-normal rules. We’re pretty excited by what we’re making, and we want to get you guys involved early, so that we can make the best game we can. We’re kicking things off by showing what we have so far at PAX East in Boston, in booth #6216, 6-8 March 2015. If you’re making it to the show, please come check it out, as we’re going to be inviting a few people to join our pre-alpha community! Official site. More info soon. ALPHA17
I hope the core game-play steps up from thinning the populace by a three-fourth of its starting size.

Gautam
Not the same as announcing a "kickstarter" asking for money at your press conference. Try again.

Aftrunner
Oh man I totally forgot about that scam of a kickstarter. Give us money to make a 60$ sequel to AAA game in an established franchise. This industry's customers really are suckers. Edit And you compared it to an indie title from a no name dev. Wow. LOL.
Gautam
Did I hit a nerve? Nope. Just demonstrated your fanboyism in a game thread that can do without it. Game looks awesome btw. Story strains of Equilibrium?

ALPHA17
Early Access is up on STEAM and GoG As promised in June, the alt-history action-adventure nightmare We Happy Few is now live on Steam Early Access and GOG's Games in Development. To mark the happy day, developer Compulsion Games has released a new gameplay trailer that puts a sharper focus on the action, and the ugliness that lies behind the joy. The description on Steam has a little more to say about what's in store: “We Happy Few is about surviving in and escaping from a procedurally generated world, where you must learn to hide in plain sight. If you act out of turn, or you’re not on Joy (the local happy pills), the locals will become suspicious and will rapidly turn your frown upside down! Forcefully. You will need to practice conformity, stealth and combat if you want to survive long enough to escape.” Get the game here (STEAM) or here (GoG). For the complete story, head to PCGamer. Big Boss
Yeah as I said multiple times in E3 topic and in group chat, this game looked very average. Only art style was good. Also lol at: What's more, We Happy Few's environments are procedurally generated. This means that locations of items, areas of interest, and even the lore that you chance upon will differ from what others get, barring a few key missions
WhiteWolf
Also out on Xbox as Early Access game.
