I wonder who said they'll boycott games because of MTs, would be nice to hold them to their words.

He said that he will not buy Cyberpunk if there microtransactions.

Man I so want CD Red to add microtransactions in that game. :D

At least I am not a hypocritical shill who keeps shifting their standards.

Don't think Alpha will buy RDR2 even if it didn't have MTs

I am not surprised that it has MTs considering GTA5 online made a shitload of money with MTs. Would be different story if it interferes with SP though. I bought GTA5 on three different platforms and never felt the influence of MTs..

MTs will not affect the single campaign. May make it easier and faster but wont hurt the SP experience if you dont wish to use them.

Can anyone give me examples of AAA games where MTs have damaged the SP experience?

They can very well add a huge layer of grind in SP game or lock a true ending to push MT just like Shadow of War.

They can also very well sell cosmetic items/gear for SP as well. Like how Ubisoft does it with Origins.

Havent played Shadow of War but that sounds bad when you need lots of time to level up or pay to unlock the true ending. With Origins, cosmetic items doesnt sounds like a big deal.

This is Rockstar we are talking about. Have always delivered the best story and gameplay experiences in recent memory. For now Rockstar, Bethesda studios, Guerilla Games and Naughty Dog are the best for SP experiences. You dont need to worry about MTs for this game.

The two most recent games that were bashed for having MT's in single player didn't really interfere with the single player experience. I was able to complete both AC Origin and Shadow of War without any MT.

That can be applied to every game with MTs. It's a choice.

So just enjoy the game why do people have need to a hung up on whether a game has Mt's or not.  A good game will be a good game regardless of it having MT's or not. MT's actually help some people who have less time to play the game. But if a developer intentionally puts things behind MT's so you cant progress in single player then thats a different story.

People don't want to grind unnecessarily in SP games. That's the main concern.

Look at NFS. People crying because it has grind even though it is a racing game (and has online) and all you do is race, but still...not okay. WLAnpxr.png

Everything is rainbows and sunshine if you like the game.

Every reviewer is stupid. Every other person who plays the game and finds it to have shitty f2p model clearly doesn't know how games are played.

That was the point? It's a choice. None of the publishers are forcing you to buy any the MTs. None of the MP games locking you out from any content. You play as you progress. So what's the problem?

The fact that 3/6 games on your recent playlist have MTs. None of them stopped you from playing. Did it?

The whole MTs debate is pointless as it never affected anyone majorly. Gamers just want to moan about everything without even understanding or playing.

As for SP games -> as long it is cosmetics it is fine. If they add a layer of grind or lock an ending behind the grind, they won't get jack from me however good the game is. You can quote when that happens.

We got a problem only when a 20 hour game is forced to be a 50 hour game because of microtransactions. That definitely interferes with my enjoyment of the game.

Imagine if we were forced to kill 1000 baddies in random locations before getting to play the final mission. Now people would come up and say it only takes 5 hours and how the game can be completed without MTs. We'll, it can. But it totally broke the flow of the game and I don't want my games to be busywork.

Yep that's the shitty part how developers implement MT's you gave the example of a worse case scenario for a single player where a developer purposely makes you grind or makes one pay extra to avoid the grind to complete the game that you have already bought. What I prefer is MT's of loot boxes where you get cool stuff like AC Origins buy it in game currency or real money upto you.

Rockstar who their sh*t and they have already calculated how much they are expecting to make from RDR2. They will first earn a easy billion from consoles and a year or 2 later they will again earn a billion from PC gamers. RDR2 will have a kickass single player and even more kickass multiplayer. I am saying cause of GTA 5, I have not played RDR yet.

lol they're not going to force you to buy MTs in a full priced games because as Angry Joe said in one of his video, if they did that they'll be dragged through the mud and lynched on trees. They're smart enough to know the limit and they'll push people right up to the limit. Its like how corporate cheerleaders say EA did a big favor by removing season pass. They did it because they don't want to split the user base and every single one of the 10-15 million initial buyers have access to their casino. They're hoping that the profit by letting in everyone have a free entry in their premium casino lounge will offset the $50 entry price.
