I was super hyped about the game but i was turned off after trying the beta.I was really struggling with combat and over all combat controls.. I was swinging sword like crazy person and missing all the hits, it was very frustrating experience. :| I was hoping for DS style combat system tbh.. Its very overwhelming and confusing at the start but as you progress and find your suitable weapon, you will get comfortable and will understand why they made it this way. Under each tree, you can find different and more effective dual blades requiring more materials. Example: Matched Slicers I requires just iron ore. While Matched Slicers III requires Earth Crystal x 2 / Machalite Ore x 2 / Iron Ore x 5 and has a base attack for 140 compared to 112 on type I. Decimation Claws (Nergigante Gem / Nergigante Horn+ x 5 / Nergigante Talon x 5 / Xeno'jiiva Horn x 2), Fire and Ice (Daora Horn+ x 3 / Teostra Horn+ x 3 / Xeno'jiiva Claw x 2 / Novacrystal x 2) and Arcanaria III (Bird Wyvern Gem / Kulu-Ya-Ku Beak+ x 5 / Kulu-Ya-Ku Plume+ x 4 / Nergigante Talon x 2) are very good. ___ Edited February 19, 2018 by Heaven Angel Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Matched Slicers under ore tree and Bone Hatchets under the bone tree. From there you can upgrade as you like. After you upgrade it by one, you can go for another line of weapons.
