As per article on Economic times - Jiofiber  Cable TV service will be provided under a separate payment subscription plan through the cable fiber or DTH.

So no DTH included.

* Silver and higher category plans come with all OTT apps . So it should give access to JioTV app with which you can stream all tv channels in the app directly to your TV.  But then you would be wasting GB's .

So again not much benefit here .

All articles are sh*t. Nobody has any clue.

They are just regurgitating other articles and twitter posts.

Jio fibre isn't worth it, but the double data offer for first 6 months makes it worth trying if someone doesn't have any better options in their area. Am personally don't like the security deposit that you have to pay and the prices should be lower by about 20%

I paid 4500 as security deposit and connection started on 7th May. Now, its 10th September. So, been using 100mbps with 1TB+ data free for 4 months. Guess, that nullifies the security deposit money to an extent. But, for a person opting it now doesnt makes sense for current plans. Most of us expect them to change considering the lukewarm response and criticism from all quarters. Also, lack of local ISP around me barring shitty BSNL and overpriced Airtel(who still provide only 40mbps) I got no other option but to carry on with JIO for now.

Btw there has been only 1 downtime so far that too the outside connector while installation was loose. A call and tweet to CC got it rectified by a technician within a day. Smooth sailing since then.

Every plan has trash FUPs. What're you gonna do with 250 mbps when it's gonna run out withnonly 500 Gb usage.

Even paying 2.5k a month gets you only 1250 Gb.

My cable operator gives 50 mbps unlimited (actual speeds come to 100 mbps) for ₹1,200 and this is in Mumbai. The plans are way better in bangalore, Delhi, etc.

I'm in Bangalore, been using ACT, 125Mbps with 500gigs of download and we barely cross 300 gigs every month, so for me, Jio Fiber Gold would be perfect.

Unlimited is great but only if you actually use that amount of data.

@adity @mohit9206 I'm just curious, how much data do you guys consume on average per month with unlimited plan?

I have used 680 gb last month. Primarily streaming stuff via Netflix, Prime etc. So, as per current plans Gold suits me. However, I feel its overpriced by 300 bucks at least.

I cross 1Tb every month. I am on a 30mbps unlimited 1000rs per month plan which will be upgraded to 50mbps this month. My friend in Mumbai uses the same ISP as I do there it is 100mbps unlimited 850rs monthly. 1Gbps 500/1000gb 1800rs and 2200rs respectively post FUP speeds are 25mbps unlimited. Even Airtel and Tata Sky have been providing better plans for a while now. Just look at Hathway which is now owned by Jio itself they provide some of the cheapest plans more than 100mbps.

If they have gone with speed limits plan it would have been a winner.. Like even start from 50Mbps for 700 then just increase speed for pricing.. Like 75mbps - 850 ,100mbps - 1000 and so on to 10000 for 1Gbps..

What they need to do is increase fup limits to tolerable limit and increase post fup speeds to repesectable level like 10mbps. Unlimited is not required for majority of people. We are now in the age of streaming and online is an essential part so 100gb just doesn't cut it anymore..

I am on 1399,  100 mbps, 525 gb FUP limit plan, works well for me.

Another plan if I really need to upgrade will be 2000  for unlimited gb at 100 mbps.

Ya need to stop streaming those 4k pornos :P

Also Jio plans are exclusive gst  , speeds are good but fups are horrible .Usually the aim of motabhai , give you unlimited food then charge for using bathroom
