Hardik for some absurd reason sat out of the series or was asked to rest by the management, when he he just had a good start to his Test career. If player fatigue was an issue, they should have let him rest in the ODI and T20 series, he is already an established player there. And they'll have to take him to South Africa where his bowling can come handy also.

Sri Lanka showing some fight. Realisitic chance of saving this and going how with a not so humiliating 1-0. From our point we need to finish this off, a draw will almost be as bad as a loss. Similar situation in Johanessburg Test and we almost lost in the end.

England folded over, like the bottlers they are. Another harmless, useless fifty by Joe Root that will pad up his stats. He doesn't deserve to be counted among the likes of Smith, Kohli and Williamson. They're missing true matchwinners like Stokes.

How can jadeja bowl so many no balls.. for a damn spinner! Such a great delivery wasted

It's because he bowls from so far ahead, his backfoot is always far ahead of the stumps and front foot is on the line. Should keep that backfoot behind or on the stumps line (like the old rule), that will ensure he doesn't overstep.

Five players allowed to be reatined.

Quote

Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals, the two franchises returning from a two-year suspension, will be able to retain players from among those who were in their squads in 2015, and from the list of their players who represented Rising Pune Super Giant and Gujarat Lions in 2017. Super Giant and Lions are no longer part of the IPL because they were brought in as temporary replacements while Super Kings and Royals served their suspensions.

Of the five players, a franchise can retain a maximum of three through retention in the lead up to the auction, and a maximum of three through right-to-match cards during the auction. If a franchise does not retain any player before the auction it can still retain only three using right-to-match cards. A right-to-match card gives the franchise the ability to buy back its player during the auction by matching the highest bid made for the player by another franchise, once the bidding is over.
