Dienekes
the Blog is working fine on IE. but wen i open the forums, it gives me an operation aborted error n then the page cannot be displayed screen comes So it's not just me. At first I thought they were blocking GI at work because I spend so much time there. Was a bit puzzled when the same error popped up at home as well.Lol yeah. I too felt that GI has also come in the ban radar @ office due to my over usage. (used to access it from remote client machines ) It runs perfectly from home pc though, but yes it isn't accessible and shows the "operation aborted error" each time with IE6 and 7 at my office. Mods, please check for this. Also, in Chrome I am unable to select emoticons from the window directly, instead I have to manually paste the code. Is it just me or other ppl are also facing it? navm
Hey guys, I joined recently and love what is happening here... the gaming scene in India rocks Currently, playing on my ps3 - Metal Gears Solid 4, COD4 world at war. Currently, playing on my xbox - GOW2, Saints Row2 Just one problem with the site, why the requirement to have 50 posts to participate in the Trading Zone? Cheers! Bulovski
navm - welcome to GI and thanks for the appreciation. the TP is to protect people from bad deals. we feel that getting a decent number of posts enables other members to know whether a person is trustworthy or not. since TP is just a facilitation service through GI and we don't have any legal recourse if a deal goes bad, the only thing we can do is ensure that ppl get a fair chance to see who they are dealing with. PS. spamming to increase post count never works
Aftrunner
^^ Welcome. The rule is mostly here to protect members from hit and run frauds. 50 posts means at least you have spent some time here and arent here just to hawk stuff. Edit f**k Bulo beat me to it. This is what I get for leaving a tab open while I look at porn in another tab. Edited February 9, 2009 by Aftrunner

ctrl_alt_del
Thanks Sam. I hope fixing IE bug also means that the Maxthon bug has been fixed as well. I haven't been able to get on to GI for past three days now from office.
Sumanth_Champion
Yes Sam. It is working in IE now. Also, when a new Game thread is created in PC games. It would be useful if the hardware specs required for running the game also are posted. So that we dont need to scour in other sites for that information.. So that GI can bcome source of complete information.
Aftrunner
Actually minimum system requirements are only release prior to the games release/demo release. So its not realistic to put that info in the first post with the games announcement. But if a mod wants to edit the OP and do that its fine by me. Good idea though. Maybe we should have a "Can I run it?" thread in the PC section.
ctrl_alt_del
Better then that, the PC section could have a trhead where people list out the minimum config on which they have played the game...that way, others can be aware of how much the game can scale. Maybe we should have a "Can I run it?" thread in the PC section. It may not be possible to add it at the time of creation but OP can allways be updated to have the specs. One ex was i wanted to c if Sacred 2 game can be run in my laptop and was searching through many sites and finally found the specs in Amazon. This could be avoided. /I am Lazy and allways looks to make things easier for me
Sumanth_Champion
Now a days lots of Spam threads are getting created. May be something needs to be done to stop this. like adding few restrictions on new thread creations etc.
Aftrunner
^^ Seriously. Also some n00b called xxxbestshotterxxx is creating new threads for every game he has heard of by copying pasting sh*t from around the web. I think its the same guy who was begging for Xbox live subs. Please lock them down.

TechGuitar
I think a few Trading post frauds have come up now and i was thinking that besides the 50 post requirement we should have some other mechanism as well to prevent such frauds. For example: There should be confirmation about a member's address/contact details before he is allowed to post in TP so that incase he is not a genuine person...we can at least track him down. Just suggesting...you guys maybe able to come up with some better ideas.
