Didn't know building a PC is such a headache. So much time goes into just researching to find the right stuff in budget.

You missed a good sale on eBay. Up to $300 off. hHlZpXA.png

Anyways, it's only a headache if you let it be.

Get ASUS STRIX over dual. GTX 1070 is a very good card and you won't be noticing any difference at 1080p as both cards run pretty much every game at 60fps. Also, from the price:value standpoint, it is a better card.

Don't buy GTX 1080 unless you plan to go for 4K gaming.

650W PSU is not required for this rig. Go for 500W - 600W and save some money.

If you don't fancy good looking case, then pick up a cheap one for $60 or less with free air.

You really don't need additional fans at the start.

For the monitor, pick any nice & cheap 1080p/60Hz IPS display from ASUS / BenQ / DELL.

Use staticICE to find good Australian stores/prices. PC Case Gear and Umart in MEL are good places.

Last, don't forget to check OZBargain and eBay. Some really good deals. Example: 28" UHD 4K Monitor w/Freesync 1ms was going for $400 couple days ago.

Good luck!

Definitely, invest in cheaper memory. Go for 2400MHz or 2666MHz modules and overclock to make up the difference.

Next up is the power supply, go for the RMx 550W or better yet get the eVGA SuperNOVA G3 550W.

The Cooler Master MasterBox 5 would shave off another ~$30 dollars from the cost although it is a much plainer looking case and no tempered glass side panel. Get the matte black version over the glossy white.

Go for these fans instead at the front of the chassis as long as you are not bothered by RGB, larger and quieter than the Corsair's.
