Ken .. for me..

The game is tough ..

Make sure u use Ultra combo wisely.. save it till the end...

How the hell do you do the super combos. K i am new to this, but eveywhere they say when your meter is full press medium punch and kick buttons or something. Nothing happens :P:panic:..I try a lot of combos which are given in the guides. I dunno if i am doing them right. Are u supposed to use the thumbstick or D pad for SF4?..

I did dude...ok my questions will be very noobish, but I try to do what they say in the manual. Can you try all of them in training mode?

I cant seem to get those focus attacks and super and ultra combos using the analog stick. Dunno guess I need lots of practice with it. Lol, wish I had the arcade stick for the combos

some of them are harder, i still cant pull of Guile's ultra/super

a noobish question -- is your ultra/super bar filled? i changed my key config to have X/A for 3 button presses (HP+MP+LP) .. makes it a lot easier

I still remember begging my mom for five rupees, so that i can spend good one hour in my friendly neighbourhood video game

parlour with ryu and ken. Ten long years have passed since, but as they say longer the wait sweeter the result, and here we

have the all new Street Fighter 4. Playing this latest game from capcom stable is like seeing your childhood dream come of age.

There are a total 25 characters, six of which are making there debut in a Street Fighter game. Street Fighter 4 has the following

game modes arcade, versus, training mode, gallery for unlockables and Xbox live option for online matches. Challenge mode

option; including time trials and survival each with a normal and hard setting. Trial mode is to practice your moves and you can

start up with small moves and gradually build them up to bigger moves. This is great for new comers as they will not need to learn

these combo on there own as in the previous games.

The gameplay in itself is flawless, the old street fighter fans will feel right at home. I found the gameplay to be a little slower then

the previous installments, what this means is that the fights generally go on for longer. I for one found it very refreshing and a

welcome change, how the community reacts to this is still to be seen. The new characters are well balanced and add variety to the

already existing impressive lineup, Abel, Crimson Viper, Rufus and El Fuerte to name a few. Crimson viper is my personal favorite

of the lot as she has got some devestating moves which are easy to pull off, Rufus also impressed me a lot.

The biggest and the best new addition to the game is without doubt the addition of Focus attacks. They are very easy to pull off and

inflict a considerable damage on your opponent. They can be pulled by pressing medium punch and medium kick together ,it has

two levels, holding the two buttons for one second unleashes a high damage attack, and holding the two buttons for more then two

seconds produces an unblockable powerful attack that will absorb one attack and force your opponent to hit the floor everytime

it lands. If you are facing hard time downing an opponent you can string together these moves to get the win, cheap as it may

sound but very effective.

There is a new addition of revenge meter, this revenge meter fills up as you take beating from your opponent when it is about

60% fill that is when you can pull off an ultra combo, the combo is followed by animation and depleting your opponents health

almost by one third of his health. In my opinion this is a great addition, this gives the person getting the beating a belief of

fighting on and adds depth to the gameplay. As easy as it may sound pulling off the ultra combo is complicated and by no means

easy to pull off, but when the chips are down fingers should move faster. It is all about Last Man Standing.

Our friends at TAP have uploaded the entire move list included in the press kit. Its a Handy guide and you can get it right here

Move Guide. Keep a printout handy and practice with one or two characters learn all there moves and show the world, what you

are made of.

The online play is very well polished and delievers everything expected off a fighter, even though i just had one bar of the network

signal a lot of times i faced no significant lag at all. For those of you still on dialup, well just buy an extra controller and call over a

friend. Multiplayer lobbies are limited to 2 players where as the recently released Street Fighter HD turbo and Tekken: The Dark

Resurrection allows upto 6 players. The lobby system is a great boon as i can have all my friends in the same room and we can

alternate between playing and spectating. Hopefully this will be fixed with a patch in future. The unlockable icons and custom

titles are another great feature which i really liked. The custom titles are really great and you can use them in your online

fights.

There is a new feature which allows your friends to challenge you in midst of an Arcade fight. This mode is optional and you

will be prompted, if you want to turn it on or off during the first time you start the arcade mode. It can be turned on/off

depending on your preference from options menu later also. This mode can be a good break from regular bashing of CPU, but if

your friend enters at a wrong time, you might well end up swearing at your friend for costing you that victory against a tougher

opponent you were about to take down.

The standard PS3 and 360 controllers might be a big hindrance for playing Street Fighter Online. The madcatz controller being

sold online, are supposed to be really good and though i haven't used one of them personally, but the advantage they hold is

immense as per the reviews of players on websites .Some one who can pay a little more can kick your a*s a little more too.

Money still Rules. Hopefully capcom will introduce a patch later in which you can opt to play only with players using standard

controllers. I always believe in level Playing field ,gives you a sense of belonging and keeps your moral high. I did not get a

chance to play the PS3 version but unlike common belief, Xbox controller was very responsive and did not give me any troubles

in pulling off those combos.

Looks So Sweet

The lack of character customization in SF4 is a downer. The game allows you to unlock 10 alternate colors for your characters,

secondary costumes are DLC and are already available on Xbox Marlet place and PSN. Character customization in games like Soul

Calibur 4 were treated as an integral part and it’s a shame Capcom didn’t give this a shot. I would have loved to be able to

customize Ryu with goggles, something to hide those thunderous thighs of chun-li and crimson viper in a swim suit(I mean it).

Well there always is a next time and i hope the wait is not ten years this time.

Street fighter does everything a fighter game should do, it gives you a varied gameplay keeping the basics intact. No other

fighter game currently in market can challenge this game, we will wait and see how Tekken 6 evolves. To sum it up street fighter

is back and is stronger then ever, after all it is the MAMA of all fighting games, and you my friend have no excuse of not

getting it.

HADOUKEN.
