Tyler
Not sure what exactly you folks hated about it. To me it was a decent superhero sandbox romp with some ridiculous powers and attacks. I actually liked it a lot... I even ended up maxing all my abilities. There was a lot of variety in the combat. However, the game had a shaky start, a really unlikeable protagonist and a throwaway story. Plus there was a nasty difficulty spike in the first few hours that made most people give up on it. Or maybe it was the excessive gore...

Tyler
I guess it's because I keep my expectations in check when I play video games. I do get disappointed with some games (Bayonetta?) but there are a very few games I outright hate.
kumarab
They're really making a no.2???...omg!! There should be a law against making sequels to such abhorrent pieces of work.

MarketTantrik
I re-started the first one last night. (I didnt make it past the third mission on my first playthrough). Its pretty enjoyable. Upgraded and purchased some core abilities early on and now moving around the city is crazy fun, similar to fun of webslinging in Spiderman 2 / 3. Combat is difficult to handle at the moment mainly because Alex moves like a 'roid pumped rabbit with his tail on fire, hopped up on speed. Need to spend some time mastering that to gain the most out of my upgraded speed and jump abilities.
Snake
They also need to fix the lock on for the missiles...they were just annoying!!!
Keyofx
Yea, the difficulty spikes were crazy. And useless checkpointing made it worse.
Daedalus
Yeah, but you felt like a demigod pulling all that crazy sh*t off against insane opposition. I never really died too often.
Tyler
Me neither. A few upgrades later you became pretty much unstoppable.
Zeehunter
There is a achievement for not dying even once in a playthru . I got it . Once u get all the upgrades u r practically immortal unless u keep on fighting like a dumb . Prototype had stealth elements , action and most important open world with lots of side missions
Joy
You guys are making me feel glad that I skipped the first one lol same , I never played this , chose Infamous over this , and I'm glad I did.
Tyler
I liked both games although inFamous was obviously the better title. It had a much better story and characters were likeable. And it was far more polished compared to Prototype. Prototype was all about dumb fun... kinda like a hyperviolent gory Crackdown.
MarketTantrik
^^ Hyperviolent, gory Crackdown. Sounds apt.

Ne0
Yea, the difficulty spikes were crazy. And useless checkpointing made it worse. I stopped playing the game at the first hunters fight in that enclosed area. The gfx looked crap on PC version and some audio problems as well
