Documents appear to show PS3 Super Slim

Recommended Posts

Dont compare this to PSP GO coz Mobile phones give it really stiff competition. IF this does launch as a 99$ Digital only console , you ll have tons of buyers for Netflix, youtube , media streaming device and crap like that . Not to mention digtal games as well.

Ofc this will be a secondary console and they continue to sell a system with bluray . 100$ is too cheap , why would they want to make losses on PS3 again?

Everything sounds nice and fine. Except for the fact that PSN goes down to wipe its bottom every third day of the week :P

I'd say instead of a drive which takes in the disc automatically they could go for the old method they use " the dust bin " open the lid , pop in the disc & you are good to go , i like that way since my PS1 was like that , i think the PS2 slim model is like that too right [correct me if i am wrong here] , it would be nice to have it

But opening the lid has its own problems, the lens gets scratched too often loading and unloading the disc, plus you can accidentally touch it with your finger which is quite bad, trust me, i had PS2 lens give up on me 2 times already, now it has died a 3rd time.

We're currently on the 3000 series. Specifically, the CECH-4001x model is mentioned, and this could relate to a slimmer PS3, which Eurogamer has heard will be announced at German game show Gamescom next month.

The documents mention that "x" will be replaced by an alphabet denoting the different hard disk specification.

I think we can safely drop the chances / ideas of hdd being removed.

Report: This is the New PlayStation 3 Model

A Brazilian website seems to have broken this one wide open.

Anatel, or the Brazilian Agency of Telecommunications, serves much of the same purpose as the FCC here in America. And Brazilian website Tecnoblog seems to have uncovered something rather interesting in Anatel’s archives.

The new PS3 model the website has found – which purportedly will come in 250 GB and 500 GB models as well as a rather strange 16 GB model – seems smaller and slimmer than the PlayStation 3 slim. News of this first broke just last week, when the FCC leaked documents that seemed to confirm that this new PS3 model was indeed about to be revealed.

Here are the pictures. All credit for these go to Tecnoblog.

We've reached out to Sony for official comment and will update when we hear back.

Looks decent.... :scratchchin: I think it's got some of the glossy effect from the original PS3 models and some matte finish from the Slim PS3 models.....

But, 500GB :wOOtjumpy: :wOOtjumpy: :wOOtjumpy: :wOOtjumpy:

Looks horrible. Looks exactly like those cheap chinese fake ones.Made In China.Design in China.

Don't forget we said the same thing when the slim was unveiled

Also; why the 'grill' area on the top?? It just takes a lot of sheen away from what is a decent design
