Honestly, those games are just sticking to mechanics that made them successful and that the fans want. I understand what you mean though, but a better example would be a new IP that doesn't try anything new. The Last of Us

Aftrunner
LOL Youtube comment on the trailer in the first post - You can buy her memories through DLC. Anyway, it looks cool. Not enough Cyberpunk games around.

dylanjosh
Things I didn't like: Too much linearity. Way too much. It's almost a corridor-running game. Also, the way every 10 seconds of gameplay is, quite literally, punctuated with a cutscene. Reminds me of Max Payne 3. Things I liked: The combat effects are pretty cool. Love that finishing move. Female character is not overtly sexualized ... yet So-so: Voice acting was bad initially, but not that bad later.
Aftrunner
Yeah, I didnt much care for it either. The only game this gen that does the "chase-escape" mechanic well is Mirrors Edge. Largely thanks to the movement fluidity. Every other game seems to think just throwing a ton of scripted events at you will make it cool. And that platforming looks suspiciously Uncharted-y. :/

IshmaelIsBack
New info and “wants to keep those combos as accessible as possible so they don’t take too much skill to perform.” But this will be better than PN03 , so yeah , automatically better than DmC
NitroNeo
Just saw the combo gameplay & feels like it will get complicated , but i just love this game , looks so polished
Big Boss
Wow I liked that combo video. Not only we can have customized combos, but there are combo types like health regen combos, cooldown reduction combos etc. This can become fairly deep if properly designed. Very interested in this game now.
