Iceman™
Btw the leaked Microsoft document showed Xbox TV to be launched in 2012 ARM based console and a competitor to Apple TV and Google TV Fall 2012 would be interesting Off topic
Spacescreamer
Don't forget we said the same thing when the slim was unveiled I remember some people coming up with ridiculous arguements like: Wont purchase the slim, need glossy for show off. The lesser power consumption and the better solution for situations like YLOD be damned. But this design shdnt be the final thing. Needs a lot improvement here and there. But a cheaper ps3 is def an encouraging news.

Zod
Looks horrible. Looks exactly like those cheap chinese fake ones.Made In China.Design in China. It looks good to me and don't forget it will be a 199$ console....
HundredProofSam
When pics of the current PS3 leaked, it looked terrible as well. Let's wait for better quality pics. If the 16GB console is a reality, I hope Sony prices it really well. Like $149.

Aftrunner
Yeah 16 Gig at 149 would be interesting. The other two I imagine replace the current 160 and 320 SKUs at the same price.
Zod
16gb version is useless coz there are many games on PS3 which requires 5-8gb mandatory install .... GSFR comes with a 6.35gb mandatory install on PS3....

GSFR comes with a 6.35gb mandatory install on PS3.... Why useless? 16GB will easily accommodate that. Nobody is claiming that this version is meant for those who want to keep the installed files of 4-5 games. This version of the ps3 is meant for those who ll play about 2 games max while alternating between them, and will be able to purchase the console due to cheaper pricing. Zod
I think Sony should allow us to install games and other contents on USB flash drive just like 360..

Zod
ya games on PS3 are massive in size, even patches are massive in size....On 360 there's a size limit but not on PS3 what about BF3 ? the game with patches is nearly about 16GB ....GT5 2.0 update is like 4gb in size ? right? Keano
+1 16 gb seriously ? what about BF3 ? the game with patches is nearly about 16GB BF3 is not the ONLY game on PS3. if the 16GB PS3 retails at 149$, many folks would buy it and would later buy a new HDD if required. Sapola
16GB for 149$ is awesome. I have been saying this from long time that they need to have cheaper SKU and should drop the HDD size. Finally.

Nikushimi
but changing the default HDD voids the warranty No, it doesn't void the warranty. Sony actually encourages you to do it.
