Documents appear to show PS3 Super Slim

No, it doesn't void the warranty. Sony actually encourages you to do it.

exactly .. that is the reason why the manual of PS3 has details on how to swap HDD's.

I Doubt $149 for a 16GB Console , sony would have to be in pretty deep losses for that to happen , there is a 4GB Xbox360 going for $272 , so i guess the base model of 16GB Will be $199 , gaming industry is no way this generous to give us a cheap high end console with a extensive library of titles

This new version sucks , PS3 Slim is the best , the horror of these entire events will be that we wont see the beautiful PS3 Slim when this freakish thing comes out & it will be the only PS3 in stock , as of sony or even MS's history , all the old models are eventually out of production :(

Deep loss ? lol They will still be profitable @ 149.

The components will be more cheap and also it has no hard disk.

I Was talking about the indian price , were you planning on buying it from the US To care for the so called $149 price :P , here is something for your enthusiasm ,

And btw sony wont sell it below Rs.10000/- until the launch of PS4 is very near or after it , in rare cases of losses though they would sell it below , i don't see a blu-ray playing console going as cheap as 7-8k as of yet

With discount you get it for 18k mostly. Price is same as US.

My fat PS3 is nearing its end..Would pick up the 16 gb PS3 and replace it with my 320 gb HDD..

I am not sure if 16GB will have HDD slot? They are going for superslim, so maybe only flash memory?

well PS3 320 gb move bundle is 350 $ in US..

It costs 19990 here..

Th price is almost the same..

Price is almost same only since the Rupee fell against the Dollar in the recent times.

Otherwise there is a decent difference if we take the ex. rate which really has been stable since years.
