Create a file named "rageconfig.cfg" type inside: vt_pageimagesizeuniquediffuseonly2 8192 vt_pageimagesizeuniquediffuseonly 8192 vt_pageimagesizeunique 8192 vt_pageimagesizevmtr 8192 vt_restart save it and start rage and see the difference Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

kaka_messi Posted October 8, 2011 Report Share Posted October 8, 2011 fix for problems(screen tearing,textures) related to rage pc version(until the patch is released)- 1-download the latest driver(nvidia- download the beta driver(285.38) amd- My link nvidia- My link 2- screen tearing solution-go to the control panel of nvidia/ati and turn on the vsync and triple buffering.alternatively you can force vsync on by adding the following to the rage launch options in Steam: +r_swapInterval 1 3-texture popping solution-turn on the GPU transcode. add +vt_maxPPF 16 to the rage launch options in Steam. 8192 thingy solution which i guess is already posted. 4-anisotropic texture filtering in rage defaults to a low value to accommodate for low-end graphics hardware.to increase it,add- +vt_maxAniso 4 to the rage launch options in Steam. edit-sorry if already posted. spindoctor Posted October 8, 2011 Report Share Posted October 8, 2011 the auto detection of hardware is completely borked. a lot of problems can be solved by forcing settings that the game should have done by itself. this is why you let users have the choice to change settings instead of making us go through config files to discover cvars that work. when it's working, the game looks spectacular outdoors and craptacular indoors. nothing can be done to change that. the game itself is good fun to play though. Doesn't this requires GPU with over 1gb Video Ram ? ...It increases texture size nd only works with GPU's with over 1gb ram....? F** can't believe this is a ID game..
