checker
My ps4 is not booting up at all . Its as if it has no power. No beeps or lights. Tried the button on the ps4 as well as the controller. Tried booting into safe mode and still no joy. Decided to give it a break. Tried to boot it again after disconnecting it from the power socket for 2 hours. Nothing . Is there any way i can troubleshoot this or is it time to give sony a call ? WhiteWolf
Call Sony customer care and get it replaced. And when you get new one connect it to 500v or higher APC UPS.

checker
Yes i did. I am guessing a power surge caused it. I had a heavy duty voltage stabilizer for my enitre house but it crapped out on me the very same day. Bad luck i guess. Just a small query though, if i take an imported ps4 to a sony auth service centre, will they repair it ? And if they will, what approx will they charge for replacing/repairing the psu unit ? P.S. I have warranty overseas till 2017 ( got extended warranty ) but i will have to wait a long time till next trip. So any help is appreciated. Repped all guys for help. Thanks. Sony india does not repair, they replace the whole unit with a brand new one even if your power cable is not working depends if you have a Eu model Sony will replace it @50% of current MRP here. If usa then nope you are out of luck

They will charge 50% of current PS4 MRP and replace it with a new one.. They replaced me my out of region(US) and out of warranty PS3 slim for Rs 9,800 with 500GB SuperSlim Call Sony CC and ask them. You will get new one year warranty with your new replaced unit. Make sure you buy good APC UPS first and then use your console..
