Aftrunner
This thread is so classic internet right now. People getting offended just to feel offended. Guys what about the box the game comes in? The PC version doesnt even get the Xbox 1 plastic casing. CDPR sold us all out. You are evidently unaware of what CDPR's stance was on stuff like this in the past. And are even more unaware of the fact that people *did* pony up $200 for a CE. You would expect everything to come with it and not have it restricted to one single platform. They had a stance about things that arent even part of the game? Hey, enlighten me. Heaven Angel
Of course, an average consumer won't get it. Try paying $200+ for collector's edition with contents missing. Anyways, moving on. __ Gamescom poster by Gabz:

WhiteWolf
Upvoted. more A cloth map of the game world. Two Gwent card decks. Also, the statue has different sizes depending on the platform: PC/Playstation 4: 33x24x25 and Xbox One: 33x24x26. Hey, guys i think that Xbox CE statue is few centimeter bigger in size than PC and PS4 CE statue. So, Xbox is getting a cloth, bunch of cards and a bigger statue OMG.. Heaven Angel
Update from CDP: Looking at the heated comments, I believe that our announcement of the physical addition of two decks of Gwent cards and a cloth map, requires a further word from us.Here at CD Projekt Red, we always put gamers first. Our PC versions are released DRM-free, we bend over backwards to give you the most beefed up editions of our games (be it standard or Collector's), and we deliver the same game, regardless of platform or version you buy. Moreover, we promised not have any exclusive DLCs, neither per platform nor per retailer, and we do stand by our promise--nothing has changed, nor will change in this regard.Don't get me wrong, I do understand that these extra items might be desirable for Witcher fans playing the game on other platforms. However, as we are not offering any platform or retail exclusive DLCs or any other form of gameplay differentiation, we do have to find other ways to support our partners. We are also providing special pre-order items for certain retailers around the world, including Witcher comic books, posters, steel books or medallions. Funnily enough, we did not notice any heated comments on the pre-order specials. What is the reason? Why are we doing this? We need the support of partners to make our game visible worldwide. This should hopefully translate to better sales, which will in consequence allow us to do what we have been doing for the last 10 years, i.e. reinvest this money to make more great RPGs, while still sticking to our values. If you still consider that adding two decks of Gwent cards and a map of the in-game world to the Xbox One CE equals us betraying our values and not fulfilling our promises, well, it does make us sad, but the final call is always yours to make.Still, I do hope that what we offer is unique and we can ask you to give us the benefit of the doubt. We have more great things to announce for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in the coming months and I promise you won't be disappointed (yes, yes, there are no more exclusives coming).

ALPHA17
CE wasn't coming to India, no? I remember Sam saying it a while ago You can order it still. From Amazon, not sure how much levies for doing and customs though. Either the money/marketing MS promised is huge or CDPR is in deeper fiscal turmoil than they let on. Have they mentioned it ever or do you have details on this Sire? CDPR still pisses everyone off. Word. Sent from miG
Snake
Translated: the Xbone was going to come last in terms of sales. Microsoft money-hatted this so it gets better visibility. It's a lose-lose strategy because: 1. People who ordered on the PS4/PC won't switch to X1. 2. X1 CEs are already sold out at most retailers. 3. It will still sell the least on the X1. 4. CDPR still pisses everyone off. Either the money/marketing MS promised is huge or CDPR is in deeper fiscal turmoil than they let on. When you make a deal with the devil, all you get is f**ked!! dullu
all this for two decks of playing cards btw; in response to CDPR's open letter; what is it that they are offering to PC/PS4 customers as an exclusive item??? If they had cut around a deal with Sony and Microsoft both for exclusive content; the backlash would have been much lesser; and who knows; probably the money even more

It is not Microsoft that is being targeted. It is CD PROJEKT RED. And if they would have given something to both the consoles without compensating to their PC following. You make a poor jest of no backlash.
dullu
^ But they could have done something for the PC brethren also....From what my experience has been with them, they bloody shower PC buyers already with loads of goods !!! BTW; they are still one of the companies who load up their collectors editions.....Have not really seen any other folks do that of late :/ Edited August 16, 2014 by dullu
