bhogle's sing-song voice. boring wilkins & manjrekar on commentary. plus india's woeful performance. :suicide:

time to switch to kabbadi :sadbye:

well its official. we're back in the 90s. at least back then there was excuse that there were all time great bowlers in opposition. also, indian players didnt have luxury of A tours & u-19 tours & facing int'l bowlers in ipl & support staff that todays players have
aaron reminds me of chris jordan. bowls also similarly. plenty of pace but very little control. at least better than shami who had neither pace nor control

Its even worse than (0's. Atleast we get to see a few gems from Sachin then. Here we cannot even take that joy. Maybe this is Dhoni's super secret ploy to get Sachin back from retirement. :punk:

^ Read a news before the start of the match that the batters, esp. Kohli and Pujara were practising the sweep shots a lot to counter Moeen Ali.

Such efforts to counter a part-timer and sadly they couldn't even face him :P

I was impressed with Aaron's bowling yesterday. Good pace and line. Pankaj Singh needs a divine intervention for his first wicket. Why we have Jadeja? Can't bat and bowls negative all the time. If India can restrict England to 250 that will be a good job. Lesse.

pankaj seems to start off ok but then when he doesnt make breakthrough quickly loses heart & becomes indisciplined. his batting is a horror & while cant expect every #11 of being able to score 50s the way he bats reflects on how (little) he values his spot. every poor no 11 even looks to get into line of ball & defend at the very least nowadays

feel a bit for dhoni. he made all the correct & brave moves y'day (dropping batsman to play 5 bowlers, batting 1st despite overhead conditions, dropping most experienced seamer due to poor form etc) but it didnt pay off for him. luck seems to be all or nothing with him. when india batted y'day it was cloudy, when eng bat it becomes sunny. only hope was overnight rain to (1) consume time from the game (2) re-spice up the wicket.

Match evenly poised.. India will bat in the last session.. Need to restrict england to 250... Then get 300+ so that england has to chase down 200+ in 4th innings with chances of ball starting to spin as the pitch gets old..

I don't think the match is evenly poised. England are still in the driving seat but yes, we are in a better position as compared to the end of yesterday.

6 ducks in our first inning lol. is that the highest?

Yep.

Most ducks in an innings: India have six today, equalling the record.

First team to have six ducks in an innings since 2003.

Congrats. YHFP0IB.gif
