What happened to Game4u?

After failing to ship any preorders for the PC version of GTA 5 (Including mine), they seem to have gone quiet all of a sudden. No new games in their store, no preorder stuff. Even their social media handles have been inactive for a while.

I requested a refund for my GTA 5 preorder and they gave me a gift coupon. Now I cannot use that gift coupon thanks to them having no games I want to buy. Anyone who frequents their store knows what happened to them?

Apologies if this is the wrong subforum to post this in.

Apparently they are run by dhakkanbaaz people

Sorry, couldn't resist

They were going downhill since quite sometime. Hardly having any games don't help much.

It's pretty pathetic to be honest

They could have been a really good game seller but someone screwed up

Even I have money lying with them

Hopefully they start selling a few games so we can redeem the cash

Never do business with them though

It's just not worth the risk

I have like 4000 with them. Aren't they the official distributors for EA games in India. Man, I will lose my 4000 if they go out of business.

Update: They seem to have added a lot of games back in stock. Hoping they are reviving their business here.

I think I will have to do that only. I wanted to get a Fifa 16 from them. I think I will wait for a week if they don't have preorders up will go for any good available game.

Guys, to be fair, I'm guessing the profit margins aren't just cutting it. I know first hand how it is to run an eCommerce store and it's amazingly cheaper simply because there is no inventory. Game4U had loads of inventory issues and Milestone suddenly shifted their minds towards OTA games. It's sad I know but its also the economy that has given rise to so many sites offering sales, cashbacks and more. How can we blame them if the profit margins just aren't there?

If I were them, Id rebrand and focus solely on online sales.

To our valued customers,

Firstly, we want to begin by apologizing for the various inconveniences that we may have caused you via delays in deliveries, lack of stock on the online store, etc. We have and will always be extremely grateful for all the support that you have given us, which is why we hope this post provides you with a clear picture of what is going on.

Since the past few months we have been facing numerous challenges, with the biggest being the video game market in India. By not having a conducive business environment to work in, we have been depleted of our resources and this has thereafter affected the service provided by Game4U. We are working hard towards making a comeback by re-strategizing so that we can work with whatever resources we have.

All we ask is for your patience and continued support so that we can help bring Game4U back to its former glory and be the one stop destination for all things gaming. In the meantime, feel free to use our online store, trade-in your old games for RePlay, and earn credit so you can use those for new games in the future.

We hope this post has made the present situation clear, and with your loyalty and encouragement we hope to grow again.

Hope you all have a great weekend!
