devil_angel
Hello guys, I've been getting these block messages for a bunch of random websites. I must admit that the sites on which I've been getting these blocks are street streaming websites. But still, it's a concern for me that the government is exerting control over what I can do with my internet. It doesn't sound very....errr....democratic. I'm sure that you would've encountered similar blockades as well. But I'm not sure as to what are the reasons behind these control measures. Is this fair or is the Government playing the role of overly protective parents to a 40 year old? Now, I don't want to spark off any political arguments, but I just want to ****ing have access to a free internet. P.S Please note that the link below works now, but at some point in time, it appears that someone at DoT has been at it for youtube as well, FML. devil_angel
What are street streamin sites exactly? torrents kya? Nope, live stream websites....say for sports which are not covered in India. And yes, I don't think they're legal too, strictly speaking. It gives me that error for certain youtube links..But when i search that video on youtube site it works..Don't know what is the reason... Me too, which is why I made the topic....although I'm not affected too much by this, it appears that Govt. orders are blocking out certain websites/links, etc. It could become an issue in the future. dante77
To people who are getting that message on YouTube. Relax!!!! Few refresh OR copy pasting the url OR searching the video on YouTube will solve it for you. It is happening to me and YES, it is annoying. But at least its working. As for porn, this is a confirmed news now. Its banned for some major ISPs like Voda (through sim) in all areas. Although, I have Voda, my home connection broadband is sify and everything is working fine. So, no problems here [emoji5] [emoji5] They should stay away from normal sites though. kmkaks
Why the f*ck is the government banning porn?? This is bullshit. Now that they have started with porn, What next? If Modi's people feel video games is harmful our government will ban video games. Everything is going the wrong way. This should not happen. I was a big Modi govt supporter but if this is how it is going to be then I will be the first person to crap on him and his campaign. http://www.firstpost.com/india/ban-first-debate-later-govts-blocking-of-857-porn-websites-is-a-dangerous-slope-to-be-on-2376128.html
