piper
Avoid having any of the items in boxed/sealed condition. Discard the boxes. If they can carry in hand baggage, then very less chance of customs. Keep bill handy, in case they want to charge customs they might calculate from that. Agagin, I'm just speculating - maybe folks who've brought electronics from abroad should pitch in.

So even if that Rs 50k Electronics are in box ...still its okay ,right?? as long as i have the bill. btw according to this website only Rs 25k stuff is allowed The goods over and above the free allowances of 25K (which includes electronics and jewellery - excluding one laptop) shall be chargeable at more then 35% customs duty - you need to pay duty on anything exceeding 25K Too many people are asking what K stands for ? K stands for thousand Example 25K means 25 x 1000 = 25000 http://www.indiabaggagerules.com/

Yes if you have the box and Bill, it should not be a problem. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
