Got some news from my source take it with salt ofcourse

Previous details i mentioned was of the cancelled 880 and 870 cards which were based on 28nm

costing $499 and $299

980 and 970 are based on 20nm

$499 and $399 respectively

GTX 960 to cost around $250 with TDP 120W and faster than 770

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 Official MSRP Will Be $299 US – Non-Reference Models Will Retail Around $329-$349 US

The title says it all, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 will retail at an official MSRP of just $299 US. While we earlier speculated a price point of around $349 US, it seems like NVIDIA is going to surprise everyone by selling the GTX 970 for just $299 US which is quite the sweet spot for gamers aiming for 1080P and 1440P resolutions.

any idea when the card will be available in Indian market and flipkart?

and i just checked local price of a GTX 770 2GB Asus/Zotac is now 25K.

Maybe a week, tops two.

At-least from companies like ZOTAC!, other third-party manufacturers will turn up depending on the demand and how strongly the card retails outside. And proper custom jobs maybe a whole month later depending on the same system.

GTX 970 Non reference score

Waiting for the live test results to out already.

After about a year of retailing over thirty-thirty five plus duking it out with the R9-290 custom versions which devastate it in performance.

@ALPHA and @SRIN Thanks :)

MSI-GeForce-GTX-970-GAMING-TF5-1.jpg

MSI has been teasing their Twin Frozr V cooler for the past few weeks now. So it’s about time we take closer look at GTX 970 GAMING, the first card to feature TF5 cooling.

MSI’s GTX 970 is not a card for casual gamers. GTX 970 GAMING is a real monster. It has two huge 100mm propeller-blade fans accompanied by a nice black and red shroud.

GeForce GTX 970 has 1664 CUDA cores, 384 less than GTX 980. MSI’s 970 GAMING is factory-overclocked to 1140 MHz, with a boost clock at 1279 MHz. It has 4GB GDDR5 memory across 256-bit interface. This particular card has a TDP of 148W, so two power connectors, from which one is 8pin, were not really required.

Unlike reference card, MSI’s model has only a ‘default’ set of display connectors: DVI-I, DVI-D, HDMI and DisplayPort. GeForce GTX 970 will launch on Friday, the price remains unknown.

what is TF5 cooling?

Lots. MSI cards go up to 75C only in burn tests.

Not in the temps, I meant mhz cycles. Your PC can crash/freeze even without hitting thermal limits if you OC the GPU too high. My card doesn't go above 75c with max overvolt, but I still can't break 1200mhz barrier.
