Don't these guys have any other games to play..Since they are using xbox's they can obviously play Halo or Gears of War and why no fighting games..

I ask myself the same thing every time, don't worry.

Lack of diversity is killing the tournament scene and even affecting sales of other major genres.

Every idiot and their dog just wants to play CoD, DotA2 or FIFA.

Do you think they would use pirated copies for a sponsored event..?

Even if they are not pirated, CoD 4 is the only title that can go on LAN.

And as Ambar said, you would be surprised how shady things can get.

Later cods can be played in lan too. Last one I remember is mw3.

I do not think so, there was quite a lot of furore over this when MW2 was released for the PC.

AW can go on LAN if I'm not mistaken.

Hardware requirements, also,

Most important for PC players is the announcement of LAN lobbies—though it's not clear if local, offline play is truly supported.

These are the games that were being played when I used to host gaming events at my college symposiums and sh*t. Why are people still stuck in 2007? But then again these are mostly just fun events. And gotta say it was a good bit of fun back then with everyone.

Years pass, but parents remain stingy and stay in the 80's

Thats why everyone is stuck with old games
