EA has confirmed that the project is no longer happening, as Criterion is instead shifting its efforts to support the Star Wars series.

"While they've moved on from the previous project they've spoken about and aren't pursuing it, they are continuing to build new ideas and experiment with new IP for EA, in addition to continuing to collaborate with other EA studios," an EA representative told GameSpot today.

Criterion is contributing to EA's Star Wars Battlefront VR game (Star Wars Battlefront: X-Wing VR Mission for PlayStation VR.), while the studio also worked on the speeder bikes in the regular version of Battlefront.

^ When your schizophrenia game is on point. With gems like,

Lol He is 100% right.

Ubisoft takes risk and deliver lot of unique games. Child of Light and Valiant heart are published by Ubisoft.

Division is fantastic new IP that I really enjoy playing.

Greatest publisher in the world.

Ubisoft = Quality and without them there's no gaming

...

You really expect them to work on a new unknown IP over SW?

Big publishers are not supposed to take risk, they are supposed to give us yearly $60 shovel-ware.

I am sure if Afty had come in mourning the loss of this beloved title, someone here would be frothing at his mouth in accompniment but because said incentive is not here best not to mention it.

Ask Afty, he carries a pack of internationally certified snobbery. Highly regarded by Zodak.
