At 11PM yday, we had over 250 people just going around the downtown seattle park in sync just grabbing items off the poke stops. Someone yelled a rare pokemon name and the entire crowd just ran towards them Police escorted everyone out of the park to avoid any trouble later in the night. Well this has become a worldwide cross-cultural phenomena. I see people standing in line in front of me at the railway station playing the game.
