Emotions and Games

Recommended Posts

Hey guys we all love gaming and there are quite a few games that hit us on an emotional level. Heavy Rain is one that comes to mind.

But for one kid a particular game is so very important to him. It's part of the past. A part of his precious moments spent with his father when he was only 6.

You can read the story here.

Note : It may not be true but it's still a touching story.

Beautiful :samui:

Animal Crossing does have a very addicting nature to it. Kinda sucks you in with the charm and simplicity. The world is very expansive to spend hours building your town.

Heard a lot of good things about it. If I didn't have psplus I would have got 3dsxl instead of vita. Want to play fire emblem and monster hunter badly. Still like my vita tough :P

The oldest memory I have of video games was those 8 bit games on NES knockoffs. There was an uncle I used to play (the first guy I remember playing a video game with) with who died some years back. Most of my friends I used to play with (including the guy who introduced me to PC gaming) have also moved away so looking back always makes me nostalgic.

One emotional moment for me when when I got a gun from an NPC in Bordelands 2. Only later did I find out that he was a tribute to a cancer patient who loved the series and had passed away.

I kept the gun for my entire playthrough.

Going to buy TWD season 2 once I pay off my card tomorrow. Loved season one.

Telltale aptly named right? :)

I have to play Journey and TLOU but no ps3 anymore or ps4.

Oh yes Journey is also quite emotional.. Must play game for every PS gamer....imo

Also, try Brothers - Tale of two sons :)

AC2: The entire episode where Ezio's family is hanged to death. :samui: That f**king traitor , bastardo, I wanted to kill him so badly, but couldn't! :samui:
Call of Duty Black Ops: Story. Never really got connected to any War based games, but this.. :arigato:. One of the best games I played! Period. (Need to replay it!)
GTA 5: Didn't really happen anything, but I still can't digest that you actually have 2 options to kill Trevor and Michael. Tried to watch the alternate endings, but couldn't. Even now I don't want to play those missions! So, selected death wish and ended up with a happy ending!
AC4: The ending. It was a touchy one since AC2 in the series. Though I didn't play the final mission really, but saw it on Youtube and felt good. *Likes* :wink2:

That's it!

True. The toughest decisions i have made in video games all fall in The Walking Dead bucket. Esp the one involving Duck. Being a dad, i started relating to situations automatically in ep 2 n 3. Ep 3 nearly killed me.

I didn't know there were multiple endings to GTA V, I just went with good guy option like always :P

That actually spoils everything. :( Now when I play, I'll keep thinking about it.

Nah its only a small detour in the main story, probably to tick that "multiple endings" mark in the AAA checklist.
