1.Dubai uses type G socket .India uses type D and M.(So a replace of power cord is necessary )
2.Nope ps4 are universal it doesnt matter from which part of the world you bag em
3.Any Psn account will work on any ps4.

4,For warranty if your ps4 dies Sony will always replace it at @50% current MRP.

Hi

I am new here.

My Brother is in DUBAI and coming back in few days.

Planning to get a PS4?

What should I keep in mind before ordering one(apart from warranty)?

Any PRO and CONS

Thanks

Just warranty and make sure it is of a PAL region(Buy the one having warranty applicable in UAE)so you can get it replaced in India by paying a bit of money if something goes wrong in future.

30% 1st year and so on...

P.S-Not 100% sure bout the replacement cost but this was the policy for PS3 :)

What's the difference in cost? If 1-2K, I'd suggest to get it locally then from Dubai..

One can find PS4 Slim(500 GB) for 1199 AED.

Most probably will include a AAA Game in bundle like Uncharted.

Roughly 22k,it does make a lot of difference.

EDIT-

Then again one can buy a PS4 for almost 24 k on FK during sales and using Bank Offers.

Makes more sense to get PS4 Pro if he is gonna come from UAE. Regular ps4 doesnt make sense cos the price in Indian sites is almost comparable. Atleast for Pro, the high delta will persist for a while (post Indian launch of ofcourse)

More like 28-29 k

I dont think he would find one less than 1550AED

Jumbo would sell at retail price, the only cheap price deal would be in some small shop in Bur Dubai.

28 29 is still the best price you can get.. Pro will launch in India at at least 40k..

Forget the official launch, I enquired in the grey market and even they are quoting 36-37k for a pro, with very limited availability (most probably due to cash crunch). And this is the same shop I bought my launch ps3 for 20k , when it was retailing officially for 40k.

Even I have dropped the idea of buying a pro for now and getting a ps4 locally. Will try to upgrade after official launch, prob in 2017.

A guy in one of my groups mentioned that pro might be launched by mid Jan in India.. Wait till thn and decide after that.. If officially launched prices will come down in grey markets..
