Tim Longo, creative director for the recent Tomb Raider reboot (and Star Wars: Republic Commando), has recently moved over to 343 Industries to begin work on the Halo series.

Longo's Twitter and LinkedIn bios were recently updated to to reflect his new position with the title creative director at 343 Industries. 343 Industries' previous creative director, Josh Holmes, now has the title executive producer for Halo, as noted on his LinkedIn account.

I so want a follow up to STAR WARS Republic Commando.

 

You just might have gotten your wish if it weren't for Disney.

 

He left in April 2011 for LucasArts, spending two years at the studio as creative director for an unannounced first-person shooter set in the Star Wars universe. LucasArts closed down in April earlier this year, and Longo's LinkedIn profile states he joined 343 Industries in May.

I was following the development of various STAR WARS based games, was a sad blow when everything was purged by Disney. But one can hope.

And RC was pretty goddamned awesome (including that amazing theme).
