Hi All,

I'm moving to Hyderabad for a few months. Carrying my desktop PC and PS4 along with 23-inch monitor. I'll be flying SpiceJet from Mumbai.

1. Disassembled PC

One each of [Motherboard, CPU + Fan, Graphic Card, DVD-ROM Drive]

One x 23inch Monitor & stand (have original box packing)

Two x RAM

Three x Hard disks

Power HDMI & SATA cables

2. PS4

Main unit

One x DS4

Power & HDMI cable

3. PS4 game discs + Bluray discs

Around 15-20 nos. total

I'll be buying new cabinet and SMPS from Hyderabad.

Pack everything in anti-static bags with bubble-wrap, and use clothes as padding

Use hard plastic box for DS4

Will carry invoices for almost everything except the discs

Called SpiceJet customer care number, and they said these items will be allowed as check-in baggage.

A. Carry along in checked-in baggage

B. Use courier service with insurance

Anyone here who has experience with a similar situation, what would be the ideal way?

Any other tips and suggestions?

For the PC, you can send it via GATI (I used their service from Bangalore to Delhi).

The only components you should get out of them is the hard-drive(s) and keep them on your person, everything else in the PC is more than capable of taking a couple of bumps as long as the chassis is kept in a secure package (original / substitute carboard box) with a layer or two of bubble wrap.

Also, remove the CPU cooler if it a tall tower type third-party design. That might snap off.

Hope this helps, Cheers!
