NightTroller
Hello, I recently managed to lay my hands on a Japanese N64 and a Japanese GameCube, thanks to a very old and reliable friend of mine who also happens to be an ECE engineer (who mentioned I wouldnt need anything except for a plug adapter) I ended up blowing my N64 adapter as I used it without a step down (phut and its gone, will hopefully try a replacement from Aliexpress in 2 months once it arrives, hoping the mobo is fine) Long story short, I want these devices to work on Indian power supplies both the devices have mentioned that they work on 100V; now Where can I get 220V - 100V step down. Is it advisable to get third party adapters from Aliexpress instead? (Ppl plz no boycott chinese products advise here ) Will the EU adapters (if bought from Aliex) fit in the indian plug sockets without a travel adapter? Pictures of actual adapters . Stuff I am planning to get from Ali Ex, in case I dont find a step down for 100V https://www.aliexpress.com/item/EU-plug-charge-power-charger-adapter-for-nintendo-64-power-supply-for-n64/32509275516.html https://www.aliexpress.com/item/EU-Plug-AC-Adapter-Power-Supply-for-Nintendo-for-GameCube-for-GC/32708559777.html Kindly let me know if these two adapters would work fine. Also can anyone confirm if N64 adapters have fuse? I read somewhere that they do Thanks in advance for all the help. NightTroller
Updates: Managed to find a vendor who custom wound their 220V-110V step down to 100 V. Also had purchased Japanese Dreamcast and Saturn prior to this; and EU power supplies for GC and N64. GC works fine with EU power supply. N64 I think has had some internal failure and would not work with the new EU PSU. DC and Saturn work well with the step down converter

Ideally the console should be in working condition. The power supply has fuses to prevent the console from getting damaged. Do you have any games for it? I tried to PM you but I got an error that you cannot receive messages.

Yeah when my N64 kept resetting every few seconds I opened it up and cleaned it inside out and now it's working like new again.
