Frequent disconnections on PS4

Hey guys, I use TP LINK WR841 N router for my wired net connection for ps4 and didn't have any issues till the last week. Recently, I've had this issue of losing connection every 30-45 minutes. Connection is lost for around 15-20 seconds, but comes back up after that. Enquired the ISP but they denied that and said the fault wasn't from their end. Can someone tell me about a workaround, since this issue has been affecting my online gaming experience?

This might be possible because you may have dynamic ip. Which changes every few hours or 24 hours depending on how your ISP has set. However there were cases when I also had this problem without change in IP. The best thing about my ISP (7Star) was that whenever we had a dispute wrt disconnection reason like blaming each other they always log everything. They send me the log or I ask them to send their employee to my place and tell him to access the ISP server to get the logs. The Log says it all. That way I was able to identify that in one of the cases it was my router. However most of the time it was their side issue. I would suggest if you could ask for the logs. All ISP keep the logs. It is compulsory under TRAI.

This gives you better chances of identifying the issue. And also make ISP responsible if the issue is from their side.

Asked the isp to mail me the logged data. Will check it with the downtime that I had yesternight, to confirm if it was really the isp or the router. Thanks for the info

Ask them to give you log file for the past 3-4 days. That way you can also analyse specific time when net doesn't work?

Checked the isp logs. They show that the internet was pretty normal during the timeouts that I had.

When I checked the router log though, it showed that "DHCP6C TIMEOUT" happened during the 30 second disconnection. Is it a problem on the router's end or the isp itself?? I switched from my old tp link wr841n to a new one of the same model recently but the issue still persists.

Can someone guess what the error might be?

That's your router issue since dhcp is provided by router.
