Playstation 4 to DVI Monitor.

Well Hello everyone,

My first post in the forum, unfortunately begins with a tiny query instead of a contribution. I'm planning to buy a Ps4 this week and use it with a DVI monitor that supports resolutions upto 1600x900. I read online that using a Dvi to Hdmi cable would work for video, which is exactly what I'd need. The only thing I'm a bit confused about is, are both the ports in an HDMI cable that comes with a Ps4 male? So would either these work well for my system?

Both those cables are temporary solutions as I just need something to test whether or not they'll work on my monitor. Any help would be appreciated greatly.

Welcome to the forum.. :-)

Yes both the ports of the cable are always male.. Coz the monitor n ps4 have female in. Hdmi to dvi may not provide the best experience though..

Y not get a full hd monitor? U can unleash ur ps4 ;-)

Oh so, it might work. Thank you good sir, that's very relieving to read. :]

I'll get a good Tv in the upcoming months, gotta use what I can or the time being. :P
