Gallium is a metal that melt at room temperature.

Sulfure Hexafluoride is the opposite of Helium and can make your voice deep. Its also heavy enough to make solid object float on it.

what about Sodium Acetate or Hot ice. Amongst all the crazy and lovable science absurdities, this is one anyone can actually make at home, by anyone i mean people who are not working in or have access to high performing labs on a daily basis.

I love this science.

 

 

This should be Gallium the metal that melts slightly above room temperature.

if it were to melt at room temp, the spoon would not be formed unless you happen to do the experiment of stir-dissolve in a cold storage.

EDIT: the above nitinol does not require a hot liquid, any sort of heating would do, but a stream of hot water is easiest to apply.

 

EDIT 2. I love this sciency stuff, had stored a lot of such experiments a few years ago in some usb i cant remember :|

these 2 are just off the top of my mind.

Anyone follows vsauce ? Pretty interesting sometimes but its too much for the layman , I mostly already know what he's talking about , numberphile and minutephysics are great too .
