Incredible help from the community. Great stuff fellas.

Some ground rules we should probably put up for purchases/sales on TP that might help prevent such situations.

i) Never be rushed by the other person for a purchase. If they say they need urgent money, be skeptical. If you decide not to purchase in the last minute(which you are entitled to as the buyer), his sale will get delayed and this is a risk he is aware of. It doesnt make sense to say the money is needed urgently.

ii) If its a new member, be skeptical. Always prefer to buy/sell from and to a person who has been here for a while and someone who has reliable TP Feedback from other established members.

iii) If its a new member, try and find various forums where you can link up with that person. Other communities, forums would be helpful. Facebook is as close as you'd come to establishing the counter-part's identity and background.

And most importantly! Your cash is priority. No matter how good or tempting the offer is, do NOT take it if your skeptical about the buyer or it being completed properly.

I hope you recover your money. Its always better to be safe through online forums. Cyber laws are being constatly updated for us but its hard to expect the same sort of swiftness or action you would in the US.

sad to hear brother and good work GHB, repped

Why didn't I think of that? And I actually work in network security

happens, your work is that so your mind automatically avoids all thoughts associated with that, extra work, no way :giggle:

Also on eBay NEVER transfer money directly, they are out of loop then, they can't help you

^^ bro

now make sure going forward pay heed to all the advice given by folks here.

Also on eBay, never transact outside of paisapay MO MATTER what the seller says. Sometimes a seller is genuinely trying to avoid paying eBay the commission hence they offer you a discount for doing a direct fund transfer.... NEVER EVER do that.

I pray and hope you get your money back
