U guys suck ‎#EAPCIndia

I liked this page just to add my hatred for EA

I'll pirate all your games till u realize you are doomed.

goodbye EA , I'll sell my origin(s) with double price to get my money back

Ea games you suck..

EA is indirectly promoting piracy in India.

here are your options =

1. Lower the price

(otherwise)

2. f**k yourself.

3. f**k yourself again.

4. Repeat step 2nd and 3rd (again and again).

5. Do what point 4 says. and GTFO.

Fukin noobs wht dahell do u think we are idiots ???? not a single fukin good indian server and u expect us to pay u fuktards 3.5k rs for a game ???

etc, yea that's going to help a lot.

Spamming on their page won't change anything. They will simply turn off public posting or ignore it.

(just like when premium came out.)

Go professional way (which I don't think will happen due to ton of kids posting crap on their page) or move on.

You cannot expect AAA title with 1000+ hours of fun for 1499 anymore.

Last,

You can buy it online right now for $50 and you'll save money. If you want the best price find a Russian site where the prices are around $35 at the moment. I'm a huge BF fan as well but I'm not paying the price that EA is asking here, period. If I find a decent deal somewhere I'll get it day one too.

There are so many avenues available to PC gamers these days that there is literally no reason to have to pay EA India 3500 bucks for any game. So don't.

Good initiative, though I doubt EA will budge. However, ever since the Xbox 180, there's always hope of public opinion being actually taken into consideration.

@Nash, don't worry will play BF4 alongside you. Added you on Battlelog.

@Rishi : Once again, thanks for the DLC reminder. Hopefully my wife will balance out the hours I'll spend on this game against the jewelry. Oh and my mother is also going for shopping with us. Hoorah for high credit limit.

In the article posted by IVG staff for this price hike, one of the reason given for it is that there are chances of illegal re-exporting of Origin keys. Well if that's an issue, why not f**king region-lock these keys?

Steam does this for Russia, so what's the problem here?

Well, clearly EA wants shitload of $$$ at any cost, and they don't care if its India or any other country.

Also, this is not a protest .Just a platform to let EA know how their actions affect their Indian customers.

Pretty sure they know the customers are going to be disappointed , I mean who would welcome a price hike anyway.

Even if they lose say 60% of their buyers they are still raking in more money than before.

Pretty sure they'll lose more or less all their customers at the prices they're asking.

The reason give by EA - to streamline the price in Origin store and retail and to stop illegal import-export can be stopped by region locking or any other means. EA just want the short cut route to solve the problem and dump it to the customer.

All I'm saying is EA is not the evil company here as the press is making it out to be

They offered a lot of "out of the way" benefits to PC consumers all these years

Now with the INR being so low...their business model has crashed & they just want to give up now

The press is not making EA out to be anything. It's simply pointing out that in case EA thought these are prices Indian PC gamers can comfortably pay, here's what PC gamers actually have to say.

Also, Ubisoft and Warner Bros, who have high profile games coming out this year as well, haven't changed their strategies. If not for the USD, Watch Dogs and Arkham Origins would still be Rs 999, and even with the USD at $60, Rs 1,499 is as high as they'll go.

You're talking as if "going out of the way" and lowering prices for India is something only EA is doing. Compare the average price of a Hollywood movie ticket in India and abroad, or the average MRP of a Hollywood movie DVD, or the price of a book by an international author. India gets them cheaper because of the lower disposable income of the average Indian. You have to lower prices to grow your market. EA has suddenly chosen to no longer do that.

They offered a lot of "out of the way" benefits to PC consumers all these years

I would like to ask, what 'out of the way' benefits were offered,

  • ORIGIN, so that we could now keep two libraries of games. One which offered a superlative platform to keep catalogue our titles, keeps your friend circle in contact and offers good Sales almost 24 x7, 365 days a year and the other which wanted to punish us for purchasing games and not even offering basic controls, e.g., pause your downloads?
  • PREMIUM benefits, pay more so that we give you more maps that anyone in the community could have made with the right tools given?
  • Lower price, pay ~1500/- bucks so that we can give you a jewel case, with four DVD's and a paper manual?
  • Sell you a game that will make sure your entire bandwidth is going to be totalled every time a patch is released.
  • Patch your game whether you bought DLC or no.
  • Cut off access to maps because you did not go PREMIUM.

Also, correct me if I am wrong but weren't PC games pressed in India itself?

So technically even a weakened Rupee should not precipitate such a calamitous spike in price. And unlike your, oh so precious Blu-Ray discs, DVD's (even good ones) cost no more than ~100/- bucks (for dual-layer versions).

The hike isn't justified even if you take into account the declining value of the Rupee. If they are worried about firangs exploiting the EA Origin India store, that should be patched first instead of screwing locals.

Why not restrict purchases to credit cards issued by Indian banks? The solution is out there but they want to take the easy way out. I'm pretty sure this kills the chances of BF4 and FIFA 14 selling decently here, but those potential sales were going to be minuscule anyway considering they're juggernaut franchises.
