sububack
Hi, While purchasing frm amazon uk, there are three options to ship to India. Standard , AmazongGlobal-Standard, and AmazonGlobal Priority. If I select Standard Shipping (8 - 12 days), I don't see any customs charges, just see shipping charges and its lesser than the other two options. Wanted to know if anyone have purchased products with those options, do we really get customs waived off? Thanks.
playstationdude
No. Maybe amazon uk don't charge you import deposit on standard shipping but charging customs or not would depend on the Indian customs.

playstationdude
For smaller items like memory cards and games you may or may not be charged customs. But for a big item like a Xbox one there is a good chance you could be charged customs.
SkinTightTuna
do not make the mistake that i made i imported one via amazon uk and it was stuck in customs for over 45 days and even after that the so called custom officer tells me duty will be approx 12k and they need a BIS certificate or else i pay him 5k and he will still impose a duty of 3k and waive off the BIS requirement. better buy one with import deposits. junarome
I had made a purchase of farcry 3 figurine here is the link http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B007KKTVI0/ref=mp_s_a_1_sc_1?qid=1409457940&sr=8-1-spellπ=AC_SX110_SY165 This was purchased by me from amazon.uk Even I had opt for standard shipping to india (mumbai) They dont charge any customs duty online through standard delivery option but when the product came to my home through post office then they asked me 550 for custom duty.... SO I AM SURE THAT WHEN A PRODUCT REACHES TO YOUR PLACE THEN THE LOCAL POST OFFICE DO CHARGE CUSTOMS DUTY... AND ONE MORE THINGS IS THAT PRODUCT REACHES TO YOU IN A MONTH AND NOT IN 12 DAYS IN STANDARD DELIVERY OPTION....THIS PROBLEM WAS FACED BY ME
DerKaubermensch
so i ordered an xbox one from amazon uk a week ago, supposed to reach by 25 september according to the amazon website, and well after reading this thread, its got me a bit worried. They haven't charged my a dime on customs yet, so i have no idea whats gonna be happening next. I suppose i'll have to wait and see.
Nischey007
They Don't charge any customs. You'll have to pay customs when its delivered to you. There is a high possibility of shipment getting stuck at customs or getting delayed. You Should have waited for the XB1 to release in india. Now you won't get any warranty and will end up paying almost 40k.
