PS4 Controller durability

Hello guys!

Need some advice and info on DS4s (preferably from long term users)

Are the DS4s durable with continuous rigorous use? Are there any cheaper third party alternatives?

Plus, what kind of shell and button protection would you recommend for the controller? Help me out people!

None. The dual shock 4 is the best controller I have used. Period.(I have used most mainstream controllers since PS 1) Just buy a couple of them thumbstick covers.

ds4 is the worst controller.

this circuit film is fragile and few buttons will stop functioning. my two controllers got bricked in less than 3 months. but i fixed them by importing the film from aliexpress. if you need an alternate controller which is more durable then go for

And I will check out the Hori Pad. I need multiple units if I buy controllers. Have to see of its feasible to import them via Playasia. Thanks again.

Durability-wise im not happy with the materials used. I'm talking mechanically because I've gone thru a few sets of R2-L2 buttons because they keep breaking. I've also swapped the sticks with Aluminium after market ones from Aliexpress. Circuit/Electronics no issues so far and I normally clock 4-6 hours daily.

You do not require any shell protections or button protections. I would however suggest either Thumbstick covers or if you dont mind tinkering get an aluminium stick replacement set.

Thanks. Do you mean Aluminium L2-R2 sticks? Are there any available locally?

Can you provide me links if you have them?

No I mean the analog thumbsticks. L2 R2 buttons aren't available in aluminium.
