I did that from my PC and got charged for one year. But when I got to my PS4 system, all I could see was the wallet credit. This got me confused and I thought that through the web channel, my wallet got credited and I need to apply the credit to get the my service renewal. I went ahead on my PS4 and tried to apply the credit which actually charged me twice. Now I have two years of renewal and have been charged twice. I really don't need the membership this long an definitely don't want to pay this much upfront. Kindly let me know what I need to do to cancel one year of subscription and get the corresponding amount refunded. I am really worried about this here. Imagine my wallet's situation. Bought PS4, Extra controller, PS4 camera, TLOU, Covers for the controllers and two years of membership. And that too when I am not a gamer. I am screwed up big time. I thought I'll be able to play split screen with him. Also the camera again is something that's not needed but I was getting it for pretty cheap so bought it anyway. Hardware is something that I can sell later so I am not as concerned about that. The PSN Plus is something that I know for sure that I wont use. I am not into FPS and not into Multiplayer. Can't you call the credit card company and try getting the second charge removed? In your case though I doubt they will since you did it consciously twice but give it a shot? Even talking to Sony support didn't yield anything. Have sent them an email and yet to hear back.
