I don't understand why thread making is so strict here like u have to discuss everything in a single place .just why ????

This site is so called video gaming site yet it don't have separate section for each platform.I mean wats the whole point I have seen better forums on other sites (not dedicated to gaming) than this.

u are bound to discuss everything at a single place.and many topics get burried with no way of easily browsing them.that PlayStation and Xbox one thread is the prime example of this only God knows wats keep going on that thread I guess even Wii u is being discussed dere

Is there anything which m missing out and dnt know why is it so ?

The Xbox One and PS4 did have separate threads before they were both merged. The Wii does have a separate thread where even the Wii U is discussed (I think, not sure). Not really thought about it, maybe because I've gotten used to it and it doesn't bother me. But i see your point. Kinda :)

On a more serious note, platforms had separate sections before but since our community wasn't that big (its still not that big considering active members are very less) and users hardly visit sections like PC and Wii. Threads in those sections didn't get much attention and many go unnoticed with literally only 4-5 users talking about it. Even if there is a hot topic in any of that section, many users just didn't care.

Hence, Admins decided to merge all sections into one 'Gaming' section and almost every active member at that time unanimously agreed to that.

In Short: Its better this way!

You are missing the point. The community forum trumps other forums because of how well it is organized.

It's not that you are not allowed to make thread. But it is better to use the game thread for discussing. It not only keeps the community alive, but also keeps it well structured.

If everyone starts making thread willy-nilly, the forum will be run by trolls and spam, which is not a good idea.

Second, you can find pretty much every game thread. If you can't, go ahead and make it. If mods find it duplicate, they will merge it.

(and if you feel like there is not much discussion, you create one. Look at Divinity or other small games. See how it got attention here.)

No offense, but if you are going to make a thread or post, use proper etiquette. Using U instead of YOU isn't saving you much time.

Cheers.

Both of them summarized it well. I have come across many indie and large MMO's and communities. It always starts with separate threads only to be merged later on.

Currently, only 4 threads are active on my browser, rest are plainly ignored because i dont have time ot browse through. Its a lot better that discussions happens at one place, else I woudnt even know if people were alive. one also gets to know about others things in life like Xbone problems n stuff. i am still unclear as to where to post news since the dedicated thread was gone, and new news needs a new thread each n every time.

On a side note: If you are having problems conveying something, you can always bump in that thread.

There were separate threads for PlayStation 4 and XBox One. But sadly one was just filled with spam/trolls and died slowly, while other was active. This not only induced rage in many users (causing them to place bait on other thread) but also caused lot of silly arguments and fights.

Now after merging, both type of users know what's going on around consoles. Sure there are some baits and silliness, but at least thread is active and alive.

Second, there isn't much activity related to consoles lately, and given the active member count, the current structure is better. If you divide threads again, one will be buried, and you know which one.

Wii U / 3DS / PC has separate thread.
