Playstation Plus - Registration Issues

Hello,

I posted this in the PSN thread but I realise that it wasn't the ideal way to get help. So, I have been having been having a very serious and perhaps a very general problem. I am trying to subscribe to the PSN and I am failing again and again. Waited 48 hours as I got to know by digging deep in the information. Something about the details not being similar while I am literally copying it from the bank statement, and pasting it on there.

I have used two cards till now. Both ICICI. One a Credit Card and the other, my very precious Debit Card with International transactions allowed. I would be a noob at this so if you can help me through this step by this, it would be highly apprecaited.

But any help would obviously be appreciated.

You're not alone. It's happened to me with my ICICI Debit and Credit card. One day it was working fine and a week later said the details were incorrect. Deleted the details, logged out, waited for a day, re-entered the details, got the initial debit credit check and then details incorrect. Contacted Sony who advised to contact Bank as no error from their side. Contacted ICICI and went to the extent of getting in touch with the Fraud department to confirm that there's no block. No joy. Eventually after 1 month of no luck I switched to my UK account. Recently in May I tried adding funds to my Indian account and it worked.

The card details were already saved on PSN so I don't know why it didn't work before. PSN is weird. It sucks that there doesn't seem to be an answer from Sony on why this happens.

I have used a ICICI Bank Visa Debit card since forever on PSN and I have never faced any problems. :|

Are you trying to register it on the PS3, PS4 or PS Vita? Have you tried adding your card from the online store?

I am using my laptop to access the network. Do you reckon I should use my PS4?

I have been through the same. How'd you subscribe from your UK account? And are there any issues if I switch accounts. I know I won't get the FIFA 15 ultimate team loyalty bonus packs, but really I haven't played it till now so to hell with them. I'll still be able to access the offline mode I have saved, yeah?

Do you think I should create a US account and just order this: http://www.amazon.in/1-Year-Playstation-Plus-Membership-Card/dp/B00GO4PTR0

Yep try from the PS4 first. First rule of troubleshooting. Explore all options.

Eventually if it does not work setup a US PSN account. It's cheaper than EU/UK AFAIK. Atleast on PS4 / PS3 you can use multiple accounts so you can have plus on one account and still be able to download the game and login to another account and still play.

I'd say give it a shot. You never know. Like Walker said, PSN is weird....

No such luck. The same error occurred. Though I would like to point out that the address on my bank statement, specifically the second line is bigger than they allow in the PSN.

So, do I buy from Amazon (http://www.amazon.in/1-Year-Playstation-Plus-Membership-Card/dp/B00GO4PTR0) or they'll accept my debit card? And I don't understand the switching between accounts. So I create a US account and buy the PS Plus. Then I switch to my account and it'll still work if I want to play online?

Nah online will be locked to the account that Plus is activated on however offline you will be able to play the games you buy from US store on indian account.

AFAIK indian debit/credit card will not work. I buy plus and topup cards from online.

Call me old school but I still like having my disks. Guess I'll just abandon my Indian account then. God knows I needed to change my username. Any site where you buy the plus and top up cards? And I should make the US account or some other country?

No specific site. Just check and compare which site has the cheapest option and email delivery. Sites like cdkeys.com, Playasia, Amazon etc. There are other options but I normally look at the price difference in these ones. Mostly I find cdkeys to be the cheapest.

Thank you. I have two questions left. Should I create a US, UK or some other country? And do I lock this forum or the moderator will?

I would suggest a US account because it seems to be cheaper. I myself use a UK account because I've had it for a long time but I'll be getting a US account when I get a PS4.

Cheers. Does CDKeys accept a debit card? Or Playasia?

I will be create a US account now. Any particular state for the luck? And on a serious note, what address do I input. I do not want my account getting banned down the line.

I just got the code via PlayAsia. Paid through paypal using my debit card, which was interesting to say the least. To create the account, I just enter my region as USA but what address do I input?

According to this you can play online using a different account not having plus if you have another account with plus on same ps4.

For PS+ I would suggest amazon. Its cheapest and during black friday ps plus was 30$.
