And why is a new thread required to ask this.

didn't know whr to post. in case something similar exists, pls merge it there. Thanks

Just Check Title once at Blu-ray.com to see whether it's region Free or locked. Crazy prices right now. Get as many blu-rays as you can from US.

couldn't find the specs.

was buying from amazon.com

Let me know which titles are you looking to buy.

But, it's quite simple, just go to http://www.blu-ray.com/. You will find one searchbox, enter your title name in it, and select nearly (or exact) appropriate title from generated list. And you will see the result, which include region-info as well.

Just a bit more below under the same result page, you will see region coding tab too, explore it to see further info put up by users as well.

Batman Begins and Dark knight from US are region free, for sure. I myself had ordered Christopher Nolan's collection, which included these 2.

Now for TDKR, It's individual release is region free : http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/The-Dark-Knight-Rises-Blu-ray/21212/

So all batman packs will be having same region coded disks.

And Warner International releases are almost all times region free.

I would say, bindaas order karo.
