Irredeemable
I have a desire HD and was thinking about rooting it, and flashing MIUI or cyanogen. Im quite an illiterate when it comes to android. I have the latest OTA update from HTC. I read on XDA that I would need to downgrade the firmware before trying to root. The only problem is, they also mentioned on the same thread that "Indian" or carrier locked Desire HD's need a goldcard first. Im not really sure if I need to go through with this step. Anyone care to help me out here?

Tyler
ya, i see many awesome screen even on xda, but no idea how/where do they get them. Whatever I've installed is what is available for free on android market .... People usually list what widgets/wallpapers they use in their setup on XDA. You have to find the right threads. You can also check deviantART. I love mClock with the MIUI skin btw. mClock is an awesome widget.
MarketTantrik
To all GALAXY NOTE USER: my in-call speaker is very low i can barely talk to. does anyone else have the same problem/.? I faced the same issue and realized that it's not a problem with the phone but rather with the placement of the speaker when you are holding it to your ear. Due to its size, it's very easy to place the speaker slightly off center on the ear and muffle the audio. Try repositioning the phone while on a call. You'll find the correct position within seconds. Big Boss
Saw and used ICS on Nexus S today. It is slick and quite smooth. And that orange light wont be there in final ICS for Samsung or any company, as it indicates its beta.
