What's the point of all these updates?

 

Can you even play/test the game? Or is it still just creation mode?

 

It's in creation mode as of now because there's a graphical leap in DBC 17 and its for people to get a glimpse of that leap and get their hands to create players... Women's cricket addition is something really appreciable and great move to add depth..The fact that Aus women's cricketers are Mo capping for the game is really awesome news..

 

And as far as playing or testing is concerned i.e nets it will be added but I would expect at a later stage..

A new update for the Cricket Academy Beta on Steam just went live. There's a lot of updates to go through, so I've broken it down into several big points.

The updates are as follows:

LOGO CREATOR

  • Includes an SVG Importer.
  • 3 Node tools for endless creation possibilities (Straight, Curve, Bezier).
  • Overlay option - Import an image to trace over with nodes to help bring your creation to life.
  • Colour, saturation and brightness swatches to select from over 16 million different colour options.
  • Gradients - Linear or Radial Gradients with the ability to select different scales and start points.

TEAMS

  • Create men's and women's teams.
  • Create uniforms, manage squad, lineups, choose team logos, and colours.
  • Add created logos to uniforms.
  • Position, scale, rotate and flip logos to perfect what your uniforms look like.
  • Add overlay function.

PLAYERS

  • Makeup added for female players.
  • Equipment tile opened for bat creation.
  • 5 bat models to select from.
  • Add created logos to bats.
  • Position, scale, rotate and flip logos to perfect how your bat will look.
  • General lighting, morph and texture improvements.
  • Add overlay function.

Awesome..

They should give an option to add textures for jerseys like how PES does.

It'll be much simpler to create it in Photoshop and can make wonderful designs.

 

BTW this has a confirmed release date ?

No they had a better implementation of logos to all the stuffs more effectively with the software they are using.

 

Release date for the full game is December 2016 before christmas holidays so most probably in the first two weeks..

 

The logo editor has already released and future updates will unlock sharing feature to post them online and share with the community..

 

There's also hints of Stadium creator arriving..It was mentioned by Ross in the press way before..We have to wait for official confirmation though..
