tracerbullet
So I bought an Xbox One from the US and shipped it to a friend in NY. While it hasn't reached here i.e. India yet, I made my friend open the box and check the power supply specification. Not surprisingly, it's rated 110V and is incompatible with the Indian voltage. So here are my options: 1. Purchase an original Xbox One power supply from Microsoft India customer support - No idea how to go about doing this, whether it's possible at all, and what the price will be. I'm guessing it will be quite expensive though.. 2. Purchase a compatible Xbox One power supply from Amazon.in or Ebay.in - there are a few options available, but again, no idea on quality and reliability. 3. Purchase a step-down i.e. 220V-110V voltage convertor that will provide the Xbox One power supply with 110 voltage - Again no idea on quality or reliability. I'm guessing many people have bought their Xbox Ones from the US. How did you guys sort out this voltage issue? I have some time as the console only arrives in end-March. Still, any suggestions you guys may have on this will be very helpful. Cheers.
Kazekage Gaara
I've been in the same boat but it was a Nintendo Wii, and my personal suggestion would be to just go ahead and buy an original Xbox One power brick no matter the cost. That way you will have complete peace of mind. I would suggest you first check out the Microsoft India customer support and get a price quote from them. If it is feasible, you can go ahead with it. Another option for you, since I see your location is Mumbai, is to visit the grey market at Musafir Khana. There will be many shops there, most notably are Ninja Videogames Store or Sony TV Games store. These people will definitely have the power brick, fake and original. What you can do is first ask both their prices and tell them to give you an original power brick FROM A SEALED XBOX ONE BOX. Or at least they will show you both and you can compare side by side which one is original and which one is fake. That way, you have a very good chance of getting an Original Xbox One Power Brick at lower the cost of what Microsoft India might charge you. Hope this helps
LaughingMan777
I'm using a step down transformer. custom made locally. works fine. Option 2 is also viable. Option 1 I have heard is a pain to actually get from MS India. Dont know if thats changed now. Either ways, Amazon.in is the only answer.
somu
I'm using my old 220v 360 power brick with my US Xbone using an plug adapter. The 360 brick is quite and works like a charm. The adapter is 6$ at Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/Goliton®Power-supply-socket-adapter-convert/dp/B00IG154KG/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1425013098&sr=8-6&keywords=xbox+one+power+adapter
Frost_bite
I don't think MS India would help you(I'm saying that from personal experience).Your best option is use a step down transformer or you could get a third party PSU.I bought one from amazon. Its a lil noisy but does the job. tracerbullet
Hmm, okay so that's the best bet I guess. Thanks everyone. Still keeping my first option as getting a genuine PSU from Microsoft India. Will see what they say and update this thread.
sweetvar26
I recently came to India with my North American Xbox One, I did contact Microsoft USA and Microsoft India, no use. They were glad to help with my 360 in the past but for some reason, no support for the Xbox One. Shop right now if you have an option to get the original power adapter anywhere in Asia sputtering 220v, get it. If not, look for step down converters or a third party Xbox One adapter which toy can find on Amazon or eBay. I've got both and they both work fine. Happy hunting
tracerbullet
So I ended up buying an original Microsoft Xbox one power adapter from UK via Ebay.co.uk and paid for international shipping to India. UK adapters work on 200-240 voltage and so it works like a charm. I paid approximately 3.8k for it inclusive of shipping. A bit expensive yes, but I didn't want the hassles of transformers and third-party PSUs. Here's the link for anyone else who's interested. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251738579642?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AITIt arrived from UK in 5 days flat after payment, so I was really impressed. Also, I now also have my original Microsoft US-compatible Xbox One power adapter for sale. If anyone is moving to the US, then we can look at some sort of deal.. Thanks for all the help, guys. Cheers!

abhimanyu339
Will I have these voltage issues if I imported my PS4 from Australia? If so, then how do I fix it?
tracerbullet
^^I don't think so. The PS4 uses a flexible 110V-240V power supply..
