PICK 13 SYSTEM

Welcome back the Pick 10 system, but with a twist – it’s now Pick 13. You can select a scorestreak with each pick 13 class. With the Pick 13 system, you can customize your loadout to completely support your play style. For the first time in Call of Duty, you will also be able to select up to four scorestreaks in the Pick 13 class menu. In addition to being able to select Primary weapons, Secondary weapons, Perks, Scorestreaks, and Wilcards, Advanced Warfare introduces new Exo-Abilities and Exo-Perks to up your Exo.

EXO MOVEMENT

With the brand new Exoskeleton in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Sledgehammer Games has changed the player movement in Call of Duty MP. There’s new ways to get around each map, and the new jumps allows for more verticality in maps.

  • Boost Jump – allows you to jump higher, which adds more verticality to the MP maps in Call of Duty. To boost jump, you just double tap the jump button and it’ll boost jump you.
  • Boost Dodge – allows you to dodge laterally in either direction to get to cover faster or to reach a certain enemy who’s moved to your sides.
  • Boost Dash – lets you dash in any direction while you’re in air.
  • Boost Slam – a new way to melee enemies. You can slam down on a location where an enemy is to take them out in an instant.

EXO LAUNCHER

  • Semtex – Timed sticky explosives.
  • Tracking Drone – A piece of equipment that tracks and highlights enemy players.
  • Stun Grenade – Blinds, disorients, and slows enemies. Can be manually detonated.
  • Frag – Cookable Frag Grenades
  • Explosive Drone – A proximity triggered drone that tracks enemies and explodes when near them.
  • Threat Grenade – Temporarily shows enemies through the walls. Can be manually detonated.
  • EMP Grenade – Disable enemy equipment and exo movements. Can be manually detonated.
  • Smoke Grenade – Temporarily create a smoke screen. Can be manually detonated.
  • Variable Grenade – Can be cycled through stun, EMP, threat and smoke. Cannot be manually detonated.
  • Spike Drone – A lethal thrown drone that returns on command.

EXO ABILITIES

The exoskeleton in Advanced Warfare MP can be equipped with Exo Abilities for extra functionality like hovering and cloaking. Exo Abilities can only be used for a limited time and require strategic use since they are powered by your exosuits battery - once the battery runs dry, you will need to respawn to be able to use them again. You can normally take one Exo Ability with you, but the "Tactician" Wildcard can be used to replace the Exo Launcher for an additional Exo Ability.

  • Exo Shield – Deployable shield attached to your arm. The shield depletes your Exo's battery extremely fast when it takes damage
  • Exo Overclock – Increases your running speed for a short duration.
  • Exo Stim – Temporarily increases your health.
  • Exo Cloak – Makes you almost completely invisible for a short duration. Nearby enemies can still see your outline.
  • Exo Hover – Allows you to hover in mid-air for a short duration. You can still use your weapons while hovering.
  • Exo Ping – Shows nearby enemy fire and Exo movement on your HUD as red targets.
  • Exo Trophy System – Destroys enemy projectiles and knocks back grenades that are thrown in your direction.
  • Exo Mute – Works like the Dead Silence perk by allowing you to move without making any noise.

EXO PERKS

Perks are special abilities that grant you advantages on the battlefield. Some of them are very situational and only useful in certain objective modes, or if your opponents are using certain types of loadouts. Others are more general and simply enhance your performance at all times. There are 15 perks in AW multiplayer and they are divided into 3 categories. You can choose one from each category, but if you use the "Greed" Wildcards you can equip one additional perk per category for a maximum of 6 perks.

PERK 1

  • Lightweight – Increases your movement speed.
  • Low Profile Makes you invisible to the UAV scorestreak and rounds fired from a weapon with the Tracker attachment.
  • Danger Close Increases your explosive and killstreak damage.
  • Overcharged Extends your Exo Ability battery life. This gives you an upper hand by allowing you to, for example, cloak and hover for a longer time. Overcharged also makes the Boost Slam shock enemies on impact.
  • Flak Jacket Reduces explosive damage and also prevents you from slowing down when damaged by explosives. Grenades are also reset when picked up and thrown back.

PERK 2

  • Peripherals Increases your radars coverage. In addition, enemies that are killed by you don't display their death icon to the enemy team.
  • Blind Eye Makes you undetectable by drones and all killstreaks, except the UAV.
  • Cold-Blooded Makes you immune to enemy threat grenades, thermal, target enhancer attachments and call outs. In addition, your name isn't displayed to enemies and their reticle doesn't change color when they aim at you.
  • Fast Hands You can swap your weapons faster, and use Exo Abilities and the Exo Launcher faster. This also enables you to reload your weapon while sprinting.
  • Gung-Ho Allows you to fire your weapon while sprinting and sliding, but it also reduces your accuracy while doing so.

PERK 3

  • Toughness Reduces aim / screen flinching when you get hit.
  • Scavenger You spawn with extra magazines and can resupply ammo from dead enemies.
  • Blast Suppressor With this equipped, you don't show up on the radar when you use Exo movements, like the Boost Jump.
  • Hard Wired Makes you immune to Stun Grenades, EMP, Nano Swarms, Scramblers and the System Hack scorestreak.
  • Hardline Decreases scorestreak cost by 100 points.

WILDCARDS

Wildcards allow you to slightly "break the rules" of the Pick 13 system by giving you more flexibility when building your class loadout. There are nine Wildcards available for use and you can have a maximum of three equipped at a time.

  • Over kill – Lets you take a second primary weapon in your secondary weapon slot. Like certain attachments, this is only worth it if you use it correctly. That is, taking a medium- to long-range weapon along with close quarters powerhouse.
  • Primary Gunfighter – Lets you take a third attachment on your primary weapon. Primary Gunfighter works well with Scavenger since you will be able to use your heavily customized weapon as long as possible.
  • Second Gunfighter Lets you put a second attachment on your secondary weapon. Because secondaries tend to be backup weapons, it's rarely a good idea to waste points on this.
  • Perk 1 Greed – Lets you take a second Perk 1.
  • Perk 2 Greed – Lets you take a second Perk 2.
  • Perk 3 Greed – Lets you take a second Perk 3.
  • Tactician – Lets you take a second Exo Ability in your Exo Launcher slot.
  • Bombardier – Lets you take a third equipment (Exo Launcher) in your Exo Ability slot.
  • Streaker – Lets you take a fourth Scorestreak with you.

SCORESTREAKS / KILLSTREAKS

Racking up consecutive kills without dying builds your score and earns you scorestreak rewards. You also earn additional points for performing actions that are beneficial to your team, like completing objectives and taking out enemy air support.

The Pick 13 system in Advanced Warfare has moved the scorestreaks to your class loadout and made them completely optional. If you want, you can skip them and use their extra allocation points on other areas of your loadout, like attachments and perks. You can equip a maximum of 3 scorestreaks, but a 4th slot can be unlocked for an additional cost by selecting the "Streaker" Wildcard. The Hardline perk can be used to decrease the cost of each streak reward by 100 points.

Each kill earns you 50-100 points depending on the game mode, while completing objectives yield better rewards, for example, capturing the enemy flag gives you 150 points.

  • DNA Bomb (30 kills) - Hidden killstreak that works like the MOAB nuke from Modern Warfare 3. Once the DNA Bomb is deployed, the enemy team is eliminated - the detonation also leaves behind a green mist for a short duration that can limit your vision.

  • Aerial Recon Drone (Streak Cost: 350) - Works like the Recon Drone from MW3. It allows you to control a drone that can be used to mark enemies, which will then show up on the radar.

  • UAV (Streak Cost: 400) - Shows enemies on the radar as dots. The UAV normally flies above the map and can be shot down by the enemy, unless the Orbital module is installed.

  • Aerial Assault Drone (Streak Cost: 450) - Player controllable Assault Drone with a high explosive charge that can be detonated. The drone can be upgraded to be AI controlled and additional machine guns and rockets can also be installed.

  • Orbital Care Package (Streak Cost: 500) - The Care Package is dropped into the map and can be picked up by anyone. The package contains a random scorestreak or the current maps special streak reward.

  • Remote Turret (Streak Cost: 550) - Deployable remote controlled turret with a minigun. While the turret is not player controlled, it won't attack enemies unless the Sentry module is installed.

  • System Hack (Streak Cost: 600) - Disables enemy HUD, radar and reticles. The System Hack can also be upgraded to disable enemy equipment, exosuits and streaks.

  • Missile Strike (Streak Cost: 650) - Player guided missile strike that can be upgraded to split into Cluster Missiles for area damage or enemy targeting Hellfire Missiles. The primary missile can be upgraded to leave behind a swarm of Nanobots with the Nano Swarm module.

  • Bombing Run (Streak Cost: 725) - Call in an airstrike to any point in the map.

  • XS1 Goliath (Streak Cost: 775) - Heavily armored Mech Suit. Once deployed on the map, you can climb in and take control. The Goliath is slow, but it's well protected and has a powerful minigun. The suit can be self-destructed at anytime.

  • Warbird (Streak Cost: 850) - A remotely controlled aerial attack vehicle with miniguns.

  • Paladin (Streak Cost: 950) - Controllable weapon system onboard a Paladin gunship.
