Bird Bird Bird
Never had issues with Infibeam, though their shipping has always been a tad delayed for me. Other than that, no issues.

Even more confused now. http://www.sony.co.in/section/shop As long as you have a valid vat paid bill Sony will give warranty or ask your nearest service center or you can buy from here http://www.ebay.in/itm/SONY-PLAYSTATION4-PS4-500GB-MODEL-1208b-JET-BLACK-CONSOLE-MATTE-FINISH-BODY-/281859599716?hash=item41a0242d64:g:wM4AAOSwZjJVAEUf They are authorized Sony distributors With a 10-12% off coupon (search on internet) you can lower the price by 3-3.5k
blitzkreiig
Is it necessary to get the yellow warranty papers stamped? I've got a VAT bill, but since the console was delivered sealed the warranty papers are not stamped.

So I guess that's okay, depending on the seller.

kmkaks
They can't refuse warranty if you have a valid vat paid bill There is this clause in their site though: :"This non-transferable warranty is only for the first end user on purchase from Sony Authorised Dealer" http://www.sony.co.in/support/resources/en_IN/html/Warranty_Information/StandardWarranty_SID.html http://www.sony.co.in/section/shop So they can refuse right? VAT bill is just a proof of purchase from the dealer, not through sony's direct channel?

Yes they can, if they choose to be a d*ck about it. Not entirely implausible for Sony CC.
