Bulovski
Piranha Bytes is developer of Gothic - which are good RPGs. Therefore the RPG system should be good. But I am not sure about the Myst-like beginning. Also, PB is only developing PC version, and outsourcing 360 version.

Tyler
An action-RPG from the makers of Gothic? Sounds good! I liked the Gothic games but #3 was a technical mess. It wouldn't run well even on my top-of-the-line rig back then I remember watching a preview of this game few months ago... or was it a different game? Bulovski
Gothic 3's biggest problem was the technical issues - otherwise the open world slapped around Oblivion's world easily.
Tyler
Yup, it was far more gritty and violent than Oblivion's almost fairy-tale like world.

Bulovski
Pretty useless Risen preview from Dtoid It's obvious he's not played much WRPGs - he doesn't mention Gothic; and he calls the game Rising at one point!

john117
ok reviews are in -- MetaCritic-79/100 (pc Version) EG germany-8/10 (pc Version) EG UK- 4/10 (xbox360 version) PC version seems to be getting pretty good reviews and looks like a must buy for those who liked Gothic 1 & 2 , and have balls of steel to play games that are not buttered up and spoon-fed RPG (read mass-effect). Whereas the xbox360 version has only release for UK & Europe and has tanked hard in reviews , it has problems ranging from bad controls to piss poor textures and graphics.Point being if you are an old schooler and have a graphics card like 88xx or higher then go get it asap. Here some screens from Neogaf to get your panties/boxers wet --

Tyler
f**k paratha bytes or whoever it is. I was hopng for a gud RPG game. I'm pretty sure it's a good game. At least the PC version is. Most of the complaints about the console versions are all technical.
